09. The Spring Festival TV Show

新年 晚會 在 中國 ， 過年 是 一件 大事 ， 而 新年 晚會 就是 這 大事 中 的 大事 。 二十多年 來 ， 每年 過年 都 少不了 它 。 在 一些 不 發達 的 小 地方 ， 大年三十 ， 全家人 主要 做 的 一件 事 就是 : 看 新年 晚會 。

人們 一面 看 ， 一面 笑 ， 一面 說 著 話 ， 說 的 大多 是 對 節目 或者 明星 的 看法 。 新年 晚會 各地 都 有 。 它們 的 共同點 是 節目 都 很 搞笑 ， 出場 的 都 是 大 明星 。 不同點 是 , CCTV 的 節目 更 好看 ， 看 的 人 也 更 多 。

< 當 我 知道 CCTV 有些 人 ， 一年 裡 有 五個 月 的 工作 ， 都 是 為 了 這 四個 小時 的 晚會 時 ， 我 感到 很 意外 。 正 因為 如此 ， 當 我 知道 它 是 世界 上 最大 的 、 收看 人數 最 多 的 新年 晚會 時 ， 就 一點兒 也 不 感到 意外 : 節目 好 ， 再 加上 中國 人 本來 就 多 。

但是 這 幾年 來 ， 全國 上下 很多 人 對 它 意見 很 大 ， 說 它 用時 過長 、 用力 過多 ， 卻 不 新 、 不 活 ， 沒什麼 看頭 。 2008 年 的 新年 晚會 ， 還是 到 日子 就 來 了 。 人們 的 看法 是 什麼樣 的 ? 有人 說 它 幾乎 一無是處 ， 有人 說 它 比 去年 好看 一點點 ， 正方 、 反方 都 有 。

事實 是 ， 它 得到 了 八年 來 從 沒有 過 的 高度 認可 。 看來 ， 那些 反對 意見 起到 了 一定 的 作用 。 我 相信 ， 在 沒有 其它 更新 、 更 好 的 節目 出現 前 ， 明年 還 會 有 新年 晚會 。

人們 一面 看 ， 一面 笑 ， 一面 說 著 話 ， 說 的 大多 是 對 節目 或者 明星 的 看法 。 People are watching, laughing, and talking, mostly their opinions on shows or stars. 新年 晚會 各地 都 有 。 New Year's parties are all over the place. 它們 的 共同點 是 節目 都 很 搞笑 ， 出場 的 都 是 大 明星 。 What they have in common is that the shows are very funny, and all the big stars appear. 不同點 是 , CCTV 的 節目 更 好看 ， 看 的 人 也 更 多 。 The difference is that CCTV programs are better and more people watch them.

< 當 我 知道 CCTV 有些 人 ， 一年 裡 有 五個 月 的 工作 ， 都 是 為 了 這 四個 小時 的 晚會 時 ， 我 感到 很 意外 。 < I was surprised when I learned that some people at CCTV work five months of the year for these four-hour parties. 正 因為 如此 ， 當 我 知道 它 是 世界 上 最大 的 、 收看 人數 最 多 的 新年 晚會 時 ， 就 一點兒 也 不 感到 意外 : 節目 好 ， 再 加上 中國 人 本來 就 多 。 Because of this, I wasn't at all surprised when I knew it was the largest and most watched New Year's party in the world: the show was good, plus there were already a lot of Chinese.

但是 這 幾年 來 ， 全國 上下 很多 人 對 它 意見 很 大 ， 說 它 用時 過長 、 用力 過多 ， 卻 不 新 、 不 活 ， 沒什麼 看頭 。 But in the past few years, many people from all over the country have great opinions on it, saying that it takes too long and uses too much force, but it is not new or alive, and it is not worth seeing. 2008 年 的 新年 晚會 ， 還是 到 日子 就 來 了 。 The New Year's party in 2008, or the time has come. 人們 的 看法 是 什麼樣 的 ? 有人 說 它 幾乎 一無是處 ， 有人 說 它 比 去年 好看 一點點 ， 正方 、 反方 都 有 。 What do people think? 事實 是 ， 它 得到 了 八年 來 從 沒有 過 的 高度 認可 。 The truth is, it's getting a level of recognition it hasn't had in eight years. 看來 ， 那些 反對 意見 起到 了 一定 的 作用 。 It appears that those objections played a role. 我 相信 ， 在 沒有 其它 更新 、 更 好 的 節目 出現 前 ， 明年 還 會 有 新年 晚會 。 I believe there will be a New Year's party next year until other newer and better programs come out.
