Today, about what happened in the past
I'll try to compare these two.
First of all, these two are talking about what happened in the past.
but there is a difference in nuance,
so there is also a difference in meaning.
So let's see the difference together.
There are two major differences.
First, let's look at '었던' first.
'었던' is a thing in the past,
but it indicates something that has already been done.
And ''던 is used to indicate something
that has happened in the past but has not been completed.
What this means is Let's look at the example sentence
this is the coffee i drank
this is the coffee i was drinking
When there are these two sentences,
the first is the coffee
I drank, I already drank it a while ago,
so I'm talking about my experience in the past.
This is the coffee I drank.
Drinking like this
I left this
I didn't drink it all
Then I was like, 'Who's coffee is this?' When someone asks,
This is the coffee I was drinking.
I mean this
The drinking isn't over yet
And the second difference is that 'was' once or twice
I'm talking about my experience
and '던' is about experiences you've had regularly.
Let's look at an example
It's the bookstore I went to
It's the bookstore I used to go to
when these two were here,
It's the bookstore I went to
it means I've been there once or twice.
If you say it's the bookstore I used to go to(던)
it's a bookstore I've been to often or occasionally.
or sometimes
This is the bookstore I keep going to.
So Gadun 'dun' indicates time often, sometimes
I use it a lot with these words
Then let's look at the example sentence one more time.
that's what i did before
that's what i did before
I will look at this sentence
It's something I've done in the past.
So that means I have experience.
The second is what I always do
If you say it's what I always do
What is 'always'?
I mean always, every day, often
So if you say that's what I always do
I mean this
I mean this
