Capitolo 12 - Roma

L'autobus per Roma faceva sempre lo stesso percorso, e questa volta non era un'eccezione. Viaggiava diretto (facendo alcune fermate nelle aree di servizio) fino alla stazione degli autobus di Tiburtina in Largo Guido Mazzoni, a Roma. È un'autostazione importante, a circa 300 metri dalla stazione ferroviaria con lo stesso nome, Tiburtina.

I tre amici camminano per le vie di Roma e, come sempre, David legge il libro. Lui ricorda sempre tutto di quello che legge, ma questo libro è molto grosso e contiene tante informazioni di grande valore. Le informazioni più importanti sono sulle note a mano, che sicuramente è stato l'uomo col cappello a scrivere.

Camminano per Piazza Venezia, una delle piazze più famose di tutta Italia. Da lì passa ogni giorno tantissima gente. Dal balcone che si affaccia sulla piazza, Mussolini ha fatto i suoi discorsi storici. Qui ci sono state tantissime manifestazioni politiche e sono stati organizzati eventi di tutti i tipi. È anche un luogo iconico per molte scene di film e di spot pubblicitari. Durante il periodo natalizio sistemano nella piazza un grande abete decorato.

David parla mentre legge il libro:

–Oggi non abbiamo ancora visto l'uomo col cappello.

–A quanto pare, non vuole farsi vedere da nessuna parte per il momento. Ricordate quando è sparito dietro l'angolo? È stato velocissimo! –esclama Marta.

–Hai ragione. Da quel momento ho iniziato a pensare seriamente che quell'uomo non sia normale.

–Certo che lo è –afferma Tony.

D'un tratto, si sente il tocco delle campane di una chiesa. David guarda il suo orologio, sono le quattro del pomeriggio. Poi dice:

–Il prossimo indizio porta a Villa Ada. Andiamo lì.

Mussolini made his historical speeches from the balcony overlooking the square. Qui ci sono state tantissime manifestazioni politiche e sono stati organizzati eventi di tutti i tipi. Hier gab es viele politische Kundgebungen und alle möglichen Veranstaltungen. There have been many political demonstrations and events of all kinds here. È anche un luogo iconico per molte scene di film e di spot pubblicitari. Es ist auch ein ikonischer Ort für viele Filmszenen und Werbespots. It is also an iconic place for many movie scenes and commercials. Durante il periodo natalizio sistemano nella piazza un grande abete decorato. In der Weihnachtszeit wird ein großer geschmückter Tannenbaum auf dem Platz aufgestellt. A large decorated fir tree is placed in the square during the Christmas period.

David parla mentre legge il libro: David spricht beim Lesen des Buches: David speaks as he reads the book: -We haven't seen the man in the hat yet today.

–Oggi non abbiamo ancora visto l'uomo col cappello. -Apparently, he doesn't want to be seen anywhere at the moment.

–A quanto pare, non vuole farsi vedere da nessuna parte per il momento. -Offensichtlich will er sich vorerst nirgendwo sehen lassen. Remember when he disappeared around the corner? -Najwyraźniej na razie nie chce być nigdzie widziany. Ricordate quando è sparito dietro l'angolo? Erinnern Sie sich, als er um die Ecke verschwand?
