¡Hola chicos! ¿Qué tal? Bienvenidos, bienvenidos a un nuevo episodio de español conmigo, “Español con Juan.” Sí señor, todas las semanas aquí hacemos un podcast para aprender español, un podcast en español para aprender español.

Estoy haciendo un poco de publicidad, como la Coca Cola o como, como los coches que hay, que…los anuncios de coches, ¿no? Los anuncios de Coca Cola y los anuncios de frigoríficos y los anuncios de todo que te dicen que si compras, si bebes una Coca Cola vas a ser feliz y vas a tener muchas chicas y muchos chicos a tu alrededor, y todo va a ser maravilloso. Claro, no es verdad, no es verdad. No es verdad.

Y entonces, bueno, yo estoy exagerando un poco, yo estoy exagerando. Pero es verdad, es verdad que si escucháis todas las semanas este podcast que es en español vuestro español va a mejorar. ¿Vale?

Esto, eso es impepinable. ¿Habéis, habéis oído alguna vez esta palabra? “Impepinable.” Impepinable, como pepino, pepino, ¿no? Pepino, el pepino es una verdura, ¿no? El pepino. ¿No?

Para la ensalada; pones tomate, cebolla, lechuga y pepino. Pepino. ¿No?

Pepino. ¿Vale?

Yo creo que se conoce, pepino.

Bueno pues, digamos que cuando algo es impepinable, impepinable, quiere decir que es obvio. ¿Vale?

Que es obvio, que es, que no se…que no…que no se puede, no se puede decir lo contrario, que es así. ¿Vale?

Esto es impepinable, y si vosotros, si vosotros y vosotras escucháis todas las semanas podcasts en español… ¿Vale? Todas las semanas, todos los días, 10-15 minutos, yo os aseguro que vuestro español va a mejorar mucho, mucho, mucho, mucho. Sí señor, sí señor. No sé cuánto tiempo. No sé cuánto tiempo necesitáis. ¿Vale?

Eso…eso, eso es diferente. Yo no puedo decir, yo no puedo decir: “Venga, si escucháis…si escucháis mi podcast…tres meses, dentro de tres meses vais a hablar muy bien.” Hombre… Yo no lo sé. Yo eso no lo puedo asegurar, no lo puedo asegurar, no lo sé.

Y eso, eso me lleva, eso me lleva al tema de hoy. Yo quería hablar hoy de esos tres meses. O seis meses, no sé, es igual. Tres meses. ¿Vale?

¿Por qué digo esto? Porque el Internet y…en la prensa, en los periódicos, en las revistas pero sobre todo en Internet, yo estoy cansado de ver publicidad de cursos o de clases, o de métodos o de todo, o sea de apps para aprender idiomas, ¿no? Libros para aprender idiomas que prometen…¿Prometen qué? Pueden enseñarte español en tres meses. ¿Vale?

Entonces tú, si compras esos métodos, si compras esas apps o esas, esos no sé, esos programas de software o lo que sea, o esos cursos, tú vas a hablar español en tres meses. ¿Vale?

Y a veces, a veces incluso, a veces incluso dicen: “Sin esfuerzo. Sin esfuerzo.” ¿Vale?

“Aprende español en tres meses sin esfuerzo.” ¿Vale? O no sé, o algo…algo parecido. Algo parecido. Y eso a mí un poco me enfada. Me enfada porque…¡porque no es verdad! No es verdad.

No se puede aprender un idioma en tres meses. Hay gente que dice: “Yo hablo seis, siete, ocho, 10, 12 idiomas y todos los idiomas los he aprendido en tres meses.” Bueno yo, no lo sé, yo lo no lo sé, lo dudo, lo dudo. Me cuesta mucho trabajo creer eso, me cuesta mucho trabajo creer eso. Yo no creo que se pueda aprender… ¿Eh? Subjuntivo, ¿eh? Subjuntivo: Yo no creo que se pueda, yo no creo que se pueda aprender en tres meses…¡ningún idioma! Pero ningún idioma.

Imagínate el chino…bueno, el chino, el chino ni en 30 años. Yo… Tengo estudiantes, tengo estudiantes que han estudiado en la universidad donde yo doy clase, tengo estudiantes que han estudiado chino desde pequeños en la escuela…una o dos horas a la semana, no sé. Y ahora en la universidad yo les pregunto: “¿Por qué no continúas estudiando chino?” ¿Y sabéis qué me dicen? “Porque es imposible. Es muy difícil.” Y es imposible, imposible. Dicen que es muy difícil y que después de estar estudiando chino seis, siete, ocho años en la escuela pues que no saben hablar nada y que…muy poco, muy poco, y, bueno.

Y es normal, es normal porque hay idiomas muy difíciles; el chino, el mandarín, el cantonés, el ruso, el árabe, el japonés. Para mí son idiomas muy difíciles, para mí sería imposible pensar aprender ruso o japonés en tres meses. Pero bueno, eso es imposible. Eso es imposible.

Y si, si alguien me dice que se puede aprender japonés en tres meses yo no lo creo sinceramente, no lo creo, me cuesta mucho trabajo creer eso, me cuesta mucho trabajo creer eso.

Y cuando dicen, cuando dicen: “Sin esfuerzo.” Entonces eso ya, eso ya me crea incluso más, más cabreo. ¿Vale?

¿Entendéis “cabrearse”? Cabrearse, estar cabreado. ¿No?

Estar cabreado es…viene de la palabra cabra. ¿No?

Cabra. Entonces estar cabreado, cabrear a alguien quiere decir estar enfadado. ¿No?

Cuando yo digo: “Estoy cabreado. Estoy cabreado.” Quiero decir que estoy muy enfadado, o cuando digo: “Eso me cabrea. Algo me cabrea.” Quiero decir que es algo me causa enfado. ¿Vale?

Me enfada. ¿No?

Entonces pues, pues, sí. Entonces – eso me cabrea un poco la verdad, me cabrea un poco porque…no sé… ¿Tres meses sin esfuerzo puedes hablar ruso? Eso es imposible.

Entonces yo quería comentar esto, sí quería comentar esto porque no sé, yo…Quizás, quizás estas personas que dicen que han aprendido a hablar ruso o japonés o chino, o cualquier idioma en tres meses…quizás, cuando ellos dicen: “hablar un idioma,” ¿de qué están hablando? Ese, ese creo que es el problema, porque cuando alguien dice: “Hable usted inglés en tres meses.” O sea, ¿de cero?… ¿Puedo pasar de cero a 100? ¿Puedo pasar de no saber decir: “Hello, hi.” Nada? ¿Puedo pasar a, al entender a Shakespeare, por ejemplo? ¿Puedo hablar como Shakespeare en tres meses? Bueno eso, eso es imposible, ¿no? Eso es imposible.

Yo creo que lo que estas personas quieren decir es que en tres meses, en tres meses quizás puedes, puedes aprender algunas frases…algunas palabras, no sé, muy básicas, ¿no? Los días de la semana, los colores, los meses del año, puedes hablar de tu familia, puedes quizás aprender algunas frases prácticas para presentarte, para ir a una tienda y comprar, yo qué sé, para comprar unos pantalones o ir al restaurante y pedir una comida. Bueno, en tres meses puedes aprender algunas frases así de forma mecánica y algunas reglas y las reglas, digamos, más básicas del idioma.

Bueno, vale, vamos a aceptarlo, vamos a aceptar que , que es posible. Pero la mayoría de la gente, la mayoría de la gente cuando dice: “Yo quiero aprender ruso o japonés, o chino, o árabe, o español” no está pensando en eso. La mayoría de la gente quiere hablar el idioma con fluidez. Quiere tener una conversación. Quiere integrarse, quiere entender las películas, quiere leer libros, quiere entender…chistes en el idioma que está aprendiendo. Quiere tener amigos en ese idioma, quiere repartir, quiere socializar con la gente del país, quiere entender la cultura. Todo eso es lo que la gente quiere, no hablar como un loro.

¿Sabéis qué es un loro? Un loro es un…un ave. ¿Sí? Un ave, un pájaro…De color, bueno, hay de muchos colores, pero creo que normalmente son verdes, ¿no? ¿Sí? Un loro, un pájaro, un ave de color verde… ¡Los piratas! …¿Habéis visto las películas de piratas? Los piratas, el capitán de los piratas siempre, siempre lleva un loro en el hombro, ¿no? Un loro, ¿no? ¿Y los loros qué hacen? ¡Los loros, los loros hablan! Los loros hablan, sí, bueno. Parece. Parece que hablan, ¿no? Pueden repetir palabras. Si tú, si tú le dices al loro: “Hola lorito, hola lorito, hola. Hola.” El loro, el loro repite: “Hola lorito, hola lorito, hola, hola.” Vale, y está bien, es divertido, ¿no? ¡Pero eso no es hablar! Eso no es hablar. Eso es hablar como un loro, eso es algo mecánico, eso es repetir frases que…bueno, frases muy simples que, que haces que el loro ha escuchado muchas veces y entonces las repite. No sé, no sé cuál es el mecanismo, ¿vale? Pero el loro imita, imita los sonidos que hace la gente, ¿no? “Hola, hola,“ sí.

Vale, entonces si…si tú lo que quieres es hablar español o hablar ruso, o hablar árabe, o hablar japonés como un loro, tú quieres repetir. ¿No?

Aprendes de memoria…las frases que tienes que decir en el restaurante, en la tienda, en el supermercado, en el banco. Vale, entonces tú aprendes de memoria esas frases. “Oiga, perdone! ¿Dónde está, dónde está la farmacia?” “¡Oiga, perdone! ¿Me puede traer la carta, por favor?” “¡Oiga, perdone! ¿Hay un banco por aquí cerca?” Vale…tú aprendes, tú aprendes estas frases de memoria y las repites como un loro, eso lo puedes hacer en tres meses, bueno pues sí, supongo que sí.

Debe de ser, debe de ser muy, muy aburrido, debe de ser muy aburrido pero bueno…Tú repites y repites y repites. Y al final, al cabo de tres meses seguramente habrás aprendido un montón de frases de ese tipo y habrás aprendido el vocabulario de la semana, de los colores, de… no sé, de los meses del año…Todas esas cosas. ¿Vale?

¡Pero eso no es hablar un idioma! Eso es lo-…Me estoy cabreando , ¿eh? Me estoy cabreando, es que me cabreo, ¿eh? ¡Porque engañan a la gente, engañan a la gente! Dicen: “Puedes hablar español, japonés, chino en tres meses.” ¡No es verdad! ¡En tres meses puedes repetir como un loro algunas frases! El problema es: ¿Entenderías, entenderías lo que te dijeran? ¿Entend-…? Si tú vas a España después de haber estudiado tres meses y vas a un restaurante y dices, le dices al camarero: “Camarero por favor…” La pronunciación no puede ser muy buena después de tres meses. ¿Vale?

Entonces dices: “Camarero, por favor, un poco de pan, un poco de pan.” ¿Vale? El camarero, el camarero, vale. El camarero te puede entender y te trae un poco de pan. Pero también puede decirte: “Mire usted perdone, pero es que el pan no nos ha llegado hoy porque el lunes no…trabajamos con la panadería que está de descanso Manuel.” Y tú dices: “¿Qué?” No entiendes nada, no entiendes nada, porque tú sólo has escuchado frases falsas, frases escritas en tu libro que has estudiado durante tres meses y no tienes ni idea de lo que está diciendo el camarero porque el camarero no habla como en tu libro. ¿Vale?

No habla como en tu, como en tu app, ni habla como en tu, en tu…curso que has comprado súper caro y que te habían prometido que ibas a hablar español en tres meses.

Claro, en tres meses puedes repetir todas las frases que quieras, muy bien, repítalas, pero no vas a entender, no vas a entender al español que te habla con naturalidad en la calle. Al camarero, al, al tío de la tienda, al tío de la recepción del hotel, al, a tu jefe en la oficina, a…yo qué sé…al portero del edificio. ¡No los vas a entender, no los vas a entender! ¿Vale?

Y tampoco vas a entender una película, por supuesto que no. Yo llevo en Londres 20 años y todavía tengo que ver las películas en inglés con subtítulos. Subtítulos en inglés, pero con subtítulos, porque si no, ¡no me entero! Y lo mismo, y lo mismo la radio, los podcasts, hay-…cambia el acento…¡Es muy difícil, es muy difícil!

No se puede aprender un idioma en tres meses. Puedes, claro, tenemos…como he, como he dicho, si entiendes aprender un idioma, a hablar cuatro frases… ¿Vale? Pues, bueno. ¡Pero no vale la pena! No vale la pena, porque si te gusta, si tú lo que quieres es aprender el idioma, la mayoría de la gente lo que quiere es aprender el idioma para ir a, para ir al cine y ver una película de Almodóvar y quiere ver vídeos y quiere escuchar la radio, y quiere leer libros y quiere leer periódicos, y quiere hablar con la gente, quiere ir de vacaciones y quiere conocer gente, quiere socializar, quiere hablar el idioma, quiere disfrutar con el idioma, quiere, quiere, quiere entablar una conversación natural.

La gente lo que quiere es hablar bien. Hay gente que quiere, tiene objetivos que no son realistas, que quiere hablar como los nativos. Vale, eso es muy poco realista, eso es muy difícil. Pero digamos, la gente, en su mayoría, quiere hablar bien, quiere disfrutar del idioma y eso no se puede hacer en tres meses. Y menos porque te dicen, en muchos casos te dicen: “Sin esfuerzo. Sin hacer un esfuerzo.” Cómo…perdonad, ¿eh? Voy a decir una palabrota, voy a decir un taco, una palabrota. ¿Cómo coño vas a aprender nada, ni un idioma, ni nada, sin hacer un esfuerzo? ¿Vale?

Eso…es un método de marketing para vender cursos.

Si realmente necesitas aprender español porque vas a trabajar en España en una embajada, por ejemplo…Estoy pensando en una situación hipotética, ¿no? Un diplomático que tiene que ir a España a trabajar en una embajada, en un consulado, y necesita aprender español muy rápido y muy bien. ¿Vale?

Y esto, yo tengo amigos que dan clases en el “Foreign Office”, aquí en Londres y el “Foreign Office” es como el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores. ¿No?

Y estos, mis amigos pues dan clases de español a diplomáticos. Y tiene, esta gente tiene que aprender español muy rápido y bastante bien. ¿Vale?

En muy poco tiempo, no sé, como en no sé, en unos cuantos meses, ¿no? Pero, ¿qué pasa? ¿Qué pasa? Primero, esta gente su trabajo es ese, no tiene otra cosa que hacer que, bueno tienen otras cosas que hacer pero digamos que una parte fundamental durante esos meses es aprender español. Tienen una motivación súper, súper alta. Y…y tienen tiempo. ¿Vale?

Tienen tiempo porque forma parte de su trabajo aprender español.

Y además digamos que son personas que ya están acostumbradas a aprender idiomas, porque ya normalmente si son diplomáticos ya hablan otros idiomas, hablan francés, hablan alemán y además, estas personas no van a-… no aprenden español en YouTube o no aprenden español con un libro, o no aprenden español con un podcast. Esta gente tiene un profesor particular que trabaja sólo, sólo con ellos todos los días, varias horas y que los sigue de forma personalizada. ¿De acuerdo? Que hace un programa para esta persona. Hombre, y luego claro después de las clases esta persona tiene que estudiar y tiene que practicar.

Entonces, claro, en estas condiciones, en estas condiciones , pues, sí esta persona avanza muy rápido, avanza muy rápido y en pocos meses consigue tener un nivel aceptable de español para ir a España a trabajar. Y luego allí continuar en el país, en España el aprendizaje, ¿no?

Pero digamos que estas son situaciones especiales. La mayoría de la gente no tiene, no se puede permitir todo esto, ni el tiempo, ni el…ni tener un profesor particular que, que le haga un programa, que le siga todos los días, eso, eso es prácticamente imposible para la mayoría de la gente. ¿No?

Entonces, aprender español en tres meses y sin esfuerzo me parece como digo una, una técnica de marketing y…y no sé, no sé, me parece un poco engañar a la gente. Engañar a la gente, trata… no sé si es exactamente engañar, no sé, no quiero decir, no quiero decir que sea exactamente engañar pero, no sé, es un poco…Es una exageración. ¿Vale?

Es una exageración.

Yo recuerdo, yo recuerdo que en los años setenta…¿Vale? Los años setenta, en los años ochenta, había, había publicidad de este tipo…en los periódicos, en las revistas…Había publicidad de cursos, de escuelas que prometían, que prometían aprender un idioma, normalmente era inglés, en seis meses, en tres meses…¡Pero todo el mundo sabía que era mentira! Todo el mundo sabía que esa, esa publicidad no era verdad, que no se podía aprender un…inglés en tan poco tiempo. ¡Yo, yo era un niño y yo lo sabía! Yo era un niño y yo lo sabía que eso no era verdad.

Pero lo que pasa es que…ahora, en Int-…con Internet, todo este tipo de…marketing, todo este tipo de anuncios…se han hecho, se ha hecho algo gigantesco, ¿no? En los años setenta, en los años ochenta, podías encontrar este tipo de, este tipo de anuncios…Este tipo de publicidad se puede decir en español: “engañabobos.” Engañabobos. ¿No?

“Engaña” es mentir. ¿No?

Cuando alguien te engaña, te dice una mentira, para que tú hagas algo. ¿No?

“Bobo” es tonto. ¿Vale?

Entonces es para, para mentir a los tontos, ¿no? Para convencer a los tontos de algo, ¿no? Es un, un engañabobos. Un engañabobos. Engañabobos. Bueno, pues este…tipo de marketing, engañabobos, era muy popular en los años setenta en los periódicos, en las revistas, pero la gente sabía que esto era un tipo de mark…¡que era marketing, que no era verdad! La mayoría de la gente lo sabía.

Hoy en día, con Internet, esto…bueno, pues está, parece que es más creíble. No sé por qué, cuando lo ves ahora en Internet, en YouTube, en podcasts, en páginas de…de…páginas de Internet, en páginas web, cuando ves estos artículos: “Aprende español en tres meses. En seis meses.” Pues parece que es , que es como algo científico. Parece que es algo más serio. Pero no es más serio, no es más científico. Es, es un engañabobos, como eran engañabobos…el marketing que se hacía en los años setenta, es lo mismo. Ahora, más sofisticado, tiene la apariencia de ser más divertido, de ser, de ser más científico, de ser más serio, pero no es más serio ni es más científico, es un engañabobos. O un sacadineros. Sacadineros.

¿Sabéis qué es un “sacadineros”? Esa es una, es una palabra que una tía mía, una de mis tías, una de mis tías solía decir muy a menudo. Cuando veía algo en el periódico…Ella, que era una mujer que no había ido a la escuela. No había ido a la escuela. No tenía mucha cultura, pero ella sabía distinguir muy bien lo que era un engañabobos y…un sacadineros. Ella cuando veía en la televisión o en el periódico, veía un anuncio de este tipo, decía: “Eso es un sacadineros.” “Sacadineros” es algo que han inventado, alguien ha inventado algo para sacarte el dinero. Para cogerte el dinero. ¿Vale?

Para tomar tu dinero. No es, no es, no es algo útil, no es algo que tú necesitas, no. Es un…es algo que tiene la apariencia, tiene la apariencia de algo útil pero no es útil, es simplemente algo muy caro para que tú pagues, para…porque quieren tu dinero. Básicamente. ¿No?

Entonces, hoy habéis aprendido muchas palabras, ¿no? “Engañabobos” y “sacadineros,” que esos son pala-…, y también “impepinable.” Yo creo que lo que estoy diciendo es impepinable. ¿No?

Os acordáis, ¿no? “Impepinable” quiere decir que no tiene discusión, que es obvio. ¿Vale?

Entonces, yo creo que lo que estoy diciendo es impepinable, que no se puede aprender un idioma en tres meses como, como decía. Ya vamos a ir terminando porque me he vuelto a enrollar. Y estoy perdiendo el hilo. Y, todo. Que no se puede aprender en tres meses ni en seis meses, oye, mira, ni en un año tampoco, ni en dos años, que yo llevo en Londres muchos años.

Sí yo hablo inglés, claro que hablo inglés pero no lo hablo bien todavía, no estoy contento, no puedo, no puedo ver las, no puedo enten-…, estoy viendo una serie con Hugh Grant, ¿vale? Con Hugh Grant, ¿eh? Me encanta Hugh Grant, el actor, Hugh Grant. Y coño, tengo que poner los subtítulos en inglés porque no, hay cosas que no entiendo, me parece que habla muy rápido, no entiendo la pronunciación. ¡Ah! Qué vergüenza, qué vergüenza, pero no soy el único, todos mis amigos y toda la gente que conozco es igual, es igual. Porque no se puede aprender inglés en seis meses ni en un año, ni en dos años.

Necesitas tiempo y depende, depende, depende de qué quieres hacer con el idioma, hombre. Yo claro que puedo ir al supermercado, claro que puedo ir al, claro que puedo ir a… al restaurante, por supuesto que sí. Pero a mí me gustaría hablar de filosofía, por ejemplo. Pues ahora no puedo hablar de filosofía, no tengo el vocabulario. Ni puedo…y cuando discuto con, con ingleses sobre la actualidad, sobre las noticias…yo me noto que me falta vocabulario. ¿Vale?

Porque…¿Sí? Porque no es algo que yo uso normalmente, ¿no?

Entonces, entonces en resumen, en resumidas cuentas, ¿vale? En resumidas cuentas…Que… Hay que tener mucho cuidado con esto del marketing, no hay que creerse todo lo que se ve en Internet. Yo creo que, yo pensaba que con Internet nos íbamos a hacer más inteligentes, que la gente iba, iba a hacerse más inteligente y creo que nos estamos haciendo cada vez más tontos. Creo que nos engañan más ahora que antes. Yo creo que antes en los años setenta, la gente no era tan tonta, la gente, la gente sospechaba más de todo esto. ¿No?

Ahora, ahora cualquiera puede poner una página, una página web, hacer vídeos en YouTube y decirte: “Oye, chico, que tú y yo, si me compras, si me compras mi curso que cuesta 300-400 o 500 euros. Si compras mi curso en tres meses, en dos meses, en un mes, en una semana, en una noche vas a hablar polaco, turco, ruso, chino.” Eso es mentira, eso es mentira, eso es un engañabobos. Y nos estamos, nos estamos haciendo cada vez más tontos. Yo creo…que nos estamos haciendo cada vez más tontos, nos creemos, nos creemos todas estas mentiras del marketing.

Bueno chicos, lo voy a dejar aquí. No sé si lo que estoy diciendo…Oye. Yo lo que digo, lo que digo aquí, estoy un poco cabreado, ¿eh? Estoy un poco cabreado, ya lo he dicho antes, ¿no? Habéis…estoy un poco cabreado porque a mí me cabrea esto, me cabrea esto, ¿vale? Porque yo, yo, yo también trabajo en Internet y a mí me gustaría decir: “Oye, chicos, si escucháis Español con Juan, vais a aprender español en dos semanas. Sí, sí, sí, sí. En tres meses vais a ser bilingües. Comprad mis cursos, venga, venga, dadme dinero. Si me dais dinero yo os prometo, yo os prometo que en tres meses vais a hablar igual que Penélope Cruz y que, y que Antonio Banderas.” Oye , pues no es verdad. No es verdad, no es verdad, no lo puedo decir.

Bueno, chicos, me he enrollado mucho, si…si crees que no tengo razón, oye, pues, me lo escribid, con respeto, ¿eh? Yo sólo…yo respeto todas las opiniones, pero con…quiero que me tratéis con respeto, ¿vale? Si alguien viene aquí insultando y…y hablando mal, entonces no, eso no lo respeto, ¿vale?
