Muy buenas, y bienvenidos de nuevo a la segunda temporada de profedeespañol.com, los podcast. Hoy

tenemos una invitada muy especial y muy cercana: Amelia, mi hermana.

Hola a todos, soy Amelia, soy la hermana de Miguel y me ha convencido para grabar el podcast, así que

he dicho, bueno, qué mejor puedo hacer un domingo. Y aquí estamos.

qué China? Eso es una cosa que claramente tienes que elegir con ganas. ¿Por qué?

Pues porque China es algo, o sea, es un país con una cultura tan brutalmente diferente a la nuestra que

nunca paras de aprender, nunca te aburres, todos los días son aventuras y es como un sitio fantástico al

que ir. La lengua también es maravillosa, la cultura, la gente... La verdad es que lo tuve claro desde el

principio.

Sí, a ver, te tienes que hacer un poco al picante, sobre todo en la zona en la que yo estaba, pero bueno.

Yo creo que más o menos si le echas ganas... Cuando Miguel vino a verme le echó ganas y dijo "Bueno,

yo esto me lo como". Algunas veces sí, algunas veces no...

Algunas veces se podía y otras veces no se podía.

Pero bueno, está muy bien. De hecho, hoy justo he hecho compra del súper chino que hay en Zaragoza.

He traído un montón de cosicas. Así que vamos a cenar chinorris esta noche.

Desde que ella volvió de China, nuestra casa parece un restaurante chino, lo cual es genial.

Lo cual es fantástico, que no parezca mal.

Eso es. Muy bien. Entonces, ¿cómo hiciste para llegar a China? Porque no es tan fácil como que vayas y

te presentes en el aeropuerto.

No. Una de las cosas negativas de China es la cantidad de burocracia que hay que tener. También pasa

en muchos otros países. En España tampoco vamos sobrados de que sean cómodos los papeleos, ¿no?

Pero bueno, entonces yo fui con una beca del Instituto Confucio y esta beca, pues había de varios

meses, de un año y no sé qué... Y te la concedían desde esa entidad que sería como el Cervantes de

español, ¿no? Y con esa beca pues ya te daban un visado de estudiante y tú tenías que ir a la embajada

o al consulado en Madrid y allí solicitar que te diesen el visado para poder entrar como estudiante.

Entonces tenías que esperar a que te mandasen de la universidad, pues todos los documentos, la carta

de que ellos te avalan... Todo eso, desde China. Cogías todo, lo llevabas, a la embajada y lo pedías,

hacías tus requisitos, pagabas las tarifas, que son altas, y nada, y a esperar. Y si te lo concedían, que en

mi caso, obviamente, me lo concedieron porque, avalada por una universidad, normalmente, pues no

hay problema.

Porque tenías invitación.

Porque tenía invitación. Pues pa' allí que me fui. Recuerdo que en el aeropuerto fue un poco difícil

porque, claro, yo tenía amigos chinos ya de siempre, ¿no? Bueno, de siempre, en los últimos años. Y

una amiga china me dijo "Oye, el billete de avión..." Yo no sé si esto te lo conté, "El billete de avión te va

a salir mucho más barato si te lo compras con una aplicación china y pagas en yuanes, que si vas a las

típicas aplicaciones europeas y pagas en euros porque de ahí te dan" y ah, vale, fantástico. Entonces mi

amiga me compró el billete de avión para ir a China, a Chengdu, en concreto, en el sur de China. Y

entonces me lo compró ella con su aplicación, con la aerolínea china, con todo eso. Y yo recuerdo que

nada más llegar al aeropuerto eran todo chinos, pero todos, o sea, es que no había nadie occidental y

me cagué viva.

Porque, o sea, me dio un vértigo... Obviamente no me da vértigo estar alrededor de chinos, pero ser la

única española en un avión sí me daba porque eran muchas horas, yo no me sentía con fluidez...

Dijiste "¿y si necesito ir al baño cómo lo pido?

Una serie de cosas que tampoco es un viaje rapidito, ¿no? En plan, es largo. Y tenía mucho miedo. Yo

normalmente me había ido de casa, pero siempre volvía en Navidad, volvía en Semana Santa, en todos

los periodos en los que hay que volver a casa, y entonces, pues nunca había estado un año como tal sin

ver a mi gente, pero absolutamente a nadie. Y me dio miedo porque me vi con mis dos maletas de 25

kilos cada una facturadas y mochila, aventurándome a un sitio totalmente diferente sin poder

comunicarme bien porque mi nivel de chino era más fluido en las clases que en el mundo real, ¿no?

Te faltaba calle.

Me faltaba calle. La verdad que sí, en este momento sí. Y nada. Y pues... pues me acojoné un poco,

pero bueno. Y así me fui. Cuando llegué tuve la gran suerte de que sí había dos personas más

españolas en ese avión, lo que pasa que llegaron mucho más tarde y no las vi. Y uno de esos chicos ya

había estudiado antes en la universidad justo a la que yo iba. Entonces iba y tuve una suerte brutal

porque es que es una ciudad de 14 millones de habitantes. Ojo, cuidao.

Pequeñita.

Es como República Checa y Eslovaquia juntas.

O varias veces, Madrid, en plan, bastante. Y justo este chaval iba a la misma universidad que iba yo, que

hay como diez en la ciudad, para recoger su título del grado universitario. Y yo dije anda, no me jodas,

qué suerte.

Porque no habría sido tan fácil como decirle al taxista "Por favor, a la universidad".

Claro. Entonces, bueno, como hablé con este chico, me dijo "Ah, yo voy ahí" Y fue como, pf, maravilloso,

y lo gestionó él. Yo estaba completamente abrumada, no sabía comunicarme, estaba en plan "hmh".

Vamos, que el primer día te quedó grande.

El primer día fue horroroso, la verdad. Fue terrorífico. Y bueno, hasta ahí lo de cómo llegué a China.

Eso es. Pero claro, esto... Casi parece que estás subestimando tu nivel de chino cuando llegaste. Pero,

¿cuántos años llevas estudiando chino? ¿Cuántos años hace falta estudiar chino para poder ir a China y

decir "no estoy perdido"?

25-30.

Yo creo que por muy buen nivel de chino que tengas, vas a estar perdido tu primera vez, porque es que

es demasiado diferente. O sea, es muy, muy diferente. También, donde vayas va a haber dialecto y... Y

es el hecho de mudarte a otro sitio, del jet lag, de no tener internet en el móvil... Porque yo no me

compré la tarjeta de antes. Eso lo tendría que haber hecho. Y no, o sea, yo llegué sin nada, perdida. No

sabía ni dónde iba a vivir porque yo no había cogido la casa. Bueno, no sabía nada. Entonces yo creo

que cualquier persona que se mude, por mucho chino que sepa, es que no sólo a nivel lingüístico, es

que es cultural. Son muchas cosas que... La hostia te la vas a dar. De todas formas, para estar cómodo.

A ver, yo yendo con un B1-B2, tirando a B2, pero depende de en qué competencias, pues con ese nivel

conseguí pasarlo mal sólo dos semanas, un mes.

Y luego ya no, o sea, luego empecé a fluir. Obviamente, cuando estaba con gente china muchas veces

tenía que tirar del móvil, sacar el diccionario, buscar palabras... Que no paras de aprender. Pero también

ellos te hablan más despacio...

A eso fuiste.

Claro, te hablan más despacio, intentan no usar regionalismos contigo... Eso se nota. Entonces, bueno,

yo creo que en un mes ya me sentía más... ¿Cómo decirlo? Me sentía menos perdida que perdida.

Menos... Menos turista y más local. Quitando, pues...

Quitando que estaba claro que local no era.

Efectivamente. ¿Y cómo fue tu primera experiencia con la comida picante? Porque yo recuerdo la

historia con mucho humor.

Bueno, simplemente llegar a China y no ser consciente de que todo era picante. Entonces, las primeras

dos semanas fue la criba, la selección de alimentos hasta que encontraste algo que pudieras comer con

tu paladar occidental.

ellos y luego, con el tiempo, empezar a encontrar lo que podíais comer los demás. Porque como luego

venía mi novio y mi familia a verme, dije a ver, yo ya me he acostumbrado, pero tengo que empezar a

ver cuáles son los platos que puedo pedir para esta gente. Y eso fue más adelante. Yo ya me

acostumbré. Pero sí, al principio, nada más llegar a China, es como, dejé de comer radicalmente.

Adelgacé como cinco kilos. O sea, ¿qué? O sea, el periodo de adaptación...

La dieta del picante funcionó.

El miedo al picante. La dieta de la nada por miedo al picante. Fatal. No, o sea, de tú ir a un sitio y decirle

"No me lo pongas picante", y ellos "Vale, por supuesto".

Sí, ahí va. Pero es que claro, lo... Estamos hablando del sur, eh, no estamos hablando de toda China.

Allí, todas las cosas que hacen las hacen ya partiendo de que van a ser picantes, a no ser que sean

unos... algunos platos específicos que tienes que memorizar que no son de picante. Entonces imagínate

Claro. Entonces, en algún momento ya empezaste a disfrutar de la experiencia, a comer como una

persona y a sentirte un poco más integrada...

A comer como dos personas. Me empecé a adaptar, yo me adapto muy bien.

año.

Sí, ese fue el drama del Corona Virus. Me pilló estando allí. Fue terrible, una pesadilla, traumático... Qué

Todos lo vivimos de una manera diferente. Pues mi hermana lo vivió en China y en España.

quería. Me mantuve hasta que pude, hasta que empecé a ver que las cosas daban miedo de verdad y...

Porque, claro, hubo más desinformación y a mí no me estaban explicando nada de lo que pasaba, no

entendía nada de lo que tenía que hacer. Era todo muy confuso...

Cuando nadie sabía nada.

Claro, nadie sabía nada. Entonces las medidas eran brutales, se empezaban a cerrar cosas sin avisar.

No era como aquí que dijeron "A partir del día tal cerramos", y ahí fue como "Ya no puedes salir, lo
