So you can't really compare between languages, but it's a high number.
Whatever.
It's higher than people think.
You often hear this, oh, if I know a thousand words, I'll be fluent.
No, you won't be.
That's the thing I couldn't get through my head too, is like you just
realize like how, how much of a long journey it is to, to get to that point.
And I realized, like for me personally, I probably spent around, well in
LingQ it says I have 1500 hours, so.
I would say probably altogether is probably between two to 3000 hours.
I probably have in Japanese in general.
Mm-hmm.
And I'm pretty sure it's, I probably need to spend closer
to 10,000 hours, but I enjoy it.
Well, that's why I always say like, don't try and How fast can I learn?
Yeah, yeah.
How long will it take me and stuff learn to enjoy it.
Like how many, you know, every, any activity that you enjoy,
why do you want it to end?
You know, so, oh, of course.
I don't know.
I don't know when the day would come that I would even stop, like easing LingQ.
I don't know if that's ever gonna happen, but I do enjoy it.
Well, listen, Hey, we should end it here.
I just wanna say Mike has been a very enjoyable conversation.
We have a, an attitude that's very similar to mine, one of exploration enjoyment.
You know, taking advantage of every opportunity to, to
learn things, to improve.
So it's very encouraging to me that you enjoy using LingQ.
And so I wanna thank you very much for having this conversation and
remind our listeners again, whatever you wanna tell our listeners about
your, your activity on YouTube.
Well, okay,
so you can find me at Bijuue mic, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube.
If you just type that in, nobody else will be named that, so you'll find me.
I also recently started a language learning channel
called Mike Learns Japanese.
And, uh, that's where I've talked about LingQ on there because I, I realize not
a lot of people talk about LingQ when it comes to learning Japanese specifically.
Right.
So I, uh, talk about it on there, but, so if you're interested,
check it out, people check it
out.
And Mike, thank you
so much again.
Oh yeah.
Thank you so much for having me.
It's been a pleasure.
Thank you.
