Story 30. Practice Makes Perfect
Ben is six years old.
He is learning how to play chess.
After a few weeks of learning, his grandpa comes for a visit.
Ben is excited.
“Come, Grandpa.”
“Let's play a game of chess,” he says.
In only a few minutes, Grandpa beats him.
Ben begins to cry.
His grandpa says, “Don't be upset.”
“You can only get good at something if you work really hard at it.”
Practice makes perfect.
You need more practice, Ben.
