Story 29. Sleeping Bear
Winter is long and cold in Canada.
There is not a lot of food for the animals to eat.
Black bears do not worry about that.
All summer and fall they eat.
They get really fat by the time winter comes.
Then the bears go into a cave and go to sleep.
How long do they sleep?
All winter long, almost five months.
When they wake up, it is spring, and of course, they are ready to eat.
