The Wolf and the Fox
This is a story by the Grimm Brothers.
It is a story about a greedy wolf and a smart fox.
Fox lives with Wolf.
But Wolf is not kind to Fox.
"Get me some food, Fox," says Wolf.
Fox goes to the farmer's house.
She takes some lambs for Wolf.
Fox gives one lamb to Wolf.
Then she takes one more, but the farmer catches Fox.
The farmer hits Fox, and the lamb runs away.
When Fox gets home, there is no food.
Wolf eats all the lamb.
Wolf is sleeping happily.
But Fox is not happy.
"Wolf is very greedy," she thinks.
The next day, Wolf speaks to Fox.
"Fox, I'm hungry. I need some pancakes. Get me some pancakes, now!" he says.
Fox goes to the farmer's house and takes some pancakes.
Fox gives the pancakes to Wolf.
The farmer catches Fox again and hits her.
When Fox gets home, there are no pancakes for her.
Wolf is sleeping happily.
But Fox is not happy.
She is not happy at all.
"He is a very greedy wolf," she thinks.
The next day, Wolf says, "Fox, get me some food. I want to eat."
"I don't like Wolf," thinks Fox.
She has an idea.
Fox takes Wolf to the farmer's cellar.
They go in a small hole.
"Very good, Fox," says Wolf.
He is very happy.
There is a lot of food.
Wolf eats and eats and eats and eats.
Soon he is fat.
Fox makes a noise.
The farmer hears it and comes into the cellar.
But now Wolf cannot go out.
The hole is too small.
The farmer catches Wolf.
Wolf is in big trouble now!
Fox runs away.
She is laughing.
"Now I don't need to live with greedy Wolf."
