and such that they put in food nowadays, so we eat beef, pork, chicken, fish, we eat it all.
And do you go grocery shopping like one certain day of the week? I don't have one day that I go,
but I only try to go one day a week. Yeah same. So I do a bit, I meal plan, and so I like to have
all the ingredients I need, for all the meals, for each evening, so I do one big grocery shop, once a
week. Yeah same, but it seems like I always forget something, luckily the store is a mile down the
road, or less, right, and I can run and grab what I need. I know the store is close for us as well,
but I just don't like to go too much. I know, I know, and what about laundry
or chores? What are some of your, do you have a favorite chore? Does anyone like chores, I don't
know! They're never ending and I think growing up mom was very particular, she had us on top of the
chores. Oh yeah we all had chores, we had to do every single week. I had to do dusting, you had
to clean a bathroom, one of the bathrooms. Vacuum, scrub, and mom had so many little knick-knacks,
remember when she... oh dusting them, yes! We had to move all her little collections,
oh yeah. I think dusting is like my least favorite chore. Because of that? Maybe I don't know.
I don't like to dust, because of all the, yeah little things she had. She's gotten rid of a bit,
yeah she has, it's true. She's still on top of her cleaning though, like they have a pretty big
house, no help, and so mom does it all. Right yeah right, and windows, she does her windows so much.
It is amazing. Don't look at mine too close, because I don't know when they were done last,
so probably windows are one of my least favorite yeah to clean, but I, laundry is never ending,
but I don't mind it, yeah doing laundry. Yeah I love a clean floor so vacuuming and mopping,
as though mopping is hard, I feel like it's a workout. I don't mop that often,
I vacuum at least once a week, I mean we have spills daily, so I'll sweep up things too,
right, but I feel like my house feels so clean when I can just pick it up, like the toys and
then vacuum, like oh what a successful day! I can do that. Yeah a clean floor, I love a clean floor,
so the whole house feels clean when your floors are clean. It's true,
but we have one of those easy handy Dyson cordless vacuums. Okay. So that is amazing for wood floors,
so we know we do that multiple times a week, okay and then I try to mop once a week.
And I think, well you hang a lot of your laundry, I put everything in the washer, wash it on cold,
everything in the dryer and then I fold it, and I do it all in a day,
yep, or afternoon. When we lived overseas, we had tiny washers, no dryer, and it just was like
not fun to do laundry. I didn't enjoy it, I'm like kids, wear your clothes, like five times.
I know I think growing up, how mom had us hang a lot of our clothes, yeah, like jeans and your nice
shirts. They do last longer. They do, yeah, and then I won't put any of our exercise clothes
in the dryer, okay either, because I feel like it, the heat breaks down the fibers.
Okay. And they just wear out. Okay and they're expensive. Yes yeah so I don't, that's true,
so I mean laundry will take, you can't do it all in one day, if you're hanging to dry, because that
takes a little while to dry. And then what about bedtime, what time do you, you said midnight.
For me, do you have a routine at night? When the kids were little, we did,
but now they're big and they procrastinate bedtime. Okay like my youngest is 11,
and I'm like go brush your teeth, go brush your teeth, did you brush your teeth? Yeah, yeah,
she just gets kind of distracted, and gets a snack, and I don't know what she does,
then she, oh she reads, she loves reading books, okay, which is great, yeah, but at 11 o'clock
it's a little too late. Yeah, so we need to get a better handle on that, but um,
and then they sleep in, so I guess everybody in my house sleeps in, so we really don't start school
until almost 10 o'clock. Okay but if they were in public school, they would have to get on the bus
at like 6:50 a.m. Wow. So our day would look a lot different, and we'd have to go to bed earlier,
but it's just kind of it's different right now. So we stay up late, we sleep in,
they get school done. Yeah, but it's good, I'm just, I'm just rolling with it. Yeah might as
well, it is what it is right? Right yeah yeah. What about the weekend, does your Saturday and
Sunday look different than the rest of your week? Usually Saturday um Jeremy and I have been hiking.
Oh good. So we, if the weather is nice, we will go out and do a hike together. Sunday, we go to
church, so that's always every Sunday, and Sunday school started, Okay, for the girls now so they're
out the door before I am. Okay and then we like to do lunch out after church, and sometimes we'll
have family come with us, so my in-laws, or Dane & Darcy(Jessica's son & his wife) they will come,
so that's a fun, relaxing, it's a relaxing day. Sundays are a day of rest. Yeah our Saturdays,
usually we see friends on Saturday, or we'll do special time with one of our kids, where I'll go
with Ivory for a few hours or Calvin will go with her just to have like a little special one. Yeah
and then Sunday my in-laws take the kids, so me and Calvin can get a date,
or film something, or just relax as well. Nice that's nice. Yeah well
