점수를 빨리 상승시킬 수 있어요

공부하는 스케줄을 어떻게 잡으면 좋을까요

이 기간을 최대한 단축하기 위해서는

간당 간당한 실력이 모두 한 곳에 모여서

Each 점수가 완성이 되는거에요

기회를 최대한 빨리 받을 수 있도록

그래서 제가 말씀드리고 싶은것은

2단계!

1 단계를 마치신 분들 다들 수고하셨어요

2단계부터는 첫 번째 시험에서 내 성적이 어떻게 나왔는지

요 결과와 내 목표점수 갭이 얼마나 큰지

그리고 내가 부족한 파트가 얼마나 되는지에 따라서

계획을 세워야 됩니다

점수를 올리기 위해서 파악해야 될 것이 크게 2가지가 있어요

이 시험에서 나에게 뭘 원하는지

그리고 내가 뭘 잘못하고 있는지

우리가 앞에서 봤던 1번부터 5번까지 있잖아요

1단계에서 우리가 1번 2번을 제대로 했는지를

먼저 확인해볼게요

내 목표 점수를 못 받은 파트 들이 있잖아요

채점 기준과 이 문제 유형들을 내가 잘 파악하고 있었는지도

한번 점검을 먼저 해봐요

그리고

이제 내가 뭘 잘못했는지를 파악해서

요고를 개선해 나가는게 2단계에서 할 일이거든요

여기서도 독학으로 가능합니다

내 문제점을 분석하고 개선해 나갈 수 있어요

그래서 목표점수 까지 갭을 채워갈 수 있겠죠

근데 혼자 공부하다 보면 자기 문제점을 파악하는 게

진짜 어려운 것 같아요

제가 공부 했을 때도

젤 처음에 1년정도 공부하던 시기 중간에

3~4달 정도를 독학을 했었는데

저는 나름대로 엄청 열심히 한다고 했거든요

근데 점수가 계속 제자리에 있어서 슬럼프에 빠졌거든요

뭐가 문젠지를 잘 모르니까 거기서 나오기가 힘들더라구요

그래서 제가 말씀드리고 싶은 것은

2단계 부터는 선택적 독학을 해보시는게 어떨까요

자! 제가 앞에 영상에서

다양한 아이엘츠 공부방법들에 대해서

잠깐 언급을 했었잖아요

근데 사람들마다 독학한 다는거를

조금씩 다르게 생각하는 것 같아요

제가 말씀드린 독학은

진짜 말그대로 가르쳐주는 사람이 없이

내가 책을 사고 자료를 찾아서 스스로 공부를 해 나가는 것을

독학 한다고 말씀을 드렸거든요

근데 뭐 스터디그룹 정도는 여기에 포함이 되겠죠

어느 한 사람이 다른 사람들한테 공부를 가르쳐주는

그룹과외 식으로 하는 그런게 아니고

시험 준비한 사람이 모여서 같이 스터디를 이어가는

그런 정도면 독학의 범위 안에 들어간다고 볼 수 있겠죠

근데 어떤 분들은 라이팅 첨삭을 받고

화상영어로 스피킹 연습하고 하면서도

독학한다고 생각 하시더라구요 전문가의 피드백정도를 받아서

그것을 바탕으로 내 공부를 계속 이어나가는 것을

어떻게 보면 넓은 의미로는

독학을 한다고 볼 수도 있을 것 같아요

근데 요 범위를 벗어나서

학원이나 과외나 인강을 듣는 것은 저는 독학이 아니라고 생각해요

어떤 분들은 인강을 보면서

집에서 공부하는 것도 독학 이라고 생각하는 것 같은데

전체적으로 커리큘럼이 짜져 있고

선생님이 수업을 처음부터 쭉 해 주는거잖아요

그러니까 학원에 직접 가서 수업을 듣는 게 아니고

집에서 학원 수업을 듣는 거죠

그래서 학원이랑 크게 다를게 없다고 생각해요

어쨌거나 요론 방법들이 있는데

제가 그러면 선택적 독학 이라고 말씀을 드린 건 뭐냐면

간단하게 말하면 아이엘츠에 파트가 4개 있잖아요

내 실력과 목표에 차이에 따라서

파트별로 독학 그리고 전문가의 도움

이 것을 선택해서 공부를 하자는 거예요

선택적 독학을 하실 때

어디에서 누구의 도움을 받으면 좋을지

이거는 내가 얼만큼 부족하냐에 달린거죠

첫 시험을 쳤는데도

여전히 방향도 못 잡고 있는 것 같은 느낌이 들면

다시 학원이나 과외나 요론 방법을 통해서

집중적인 수업을 받는 거에요

그게 아니고 어떻게 된건지 이제 감은 잡았어요

근데 아직까지 실력이 조금 부족한 것 같다

그러면 혼자 계속 연습하면서 필요한 부분에 대해서만

피드백을 받는 정도록 하는거죠

제 경우를 말씀드리면

저는 첫 시험에서

제 목표 점수를 받은 파트는 리딩하나 밖에 없었어요

스피킹 시험 칠때 아 망했구나 바로 생각했어요

왜냐하면 제대로 대답을 하는 문제가 하나도 없었고

공부를 한지 벌써 한 3달이 넘어 갔는데도

도대체 질문을 받았을 때

내가 어떻게 대답을 해야 되는지도 모르겠고

어떻게 공부해야지 7점을 받을 지도 모르겠는 거예요

문제가 심각했죠

혼자살 수 있을 것 같았던 리딩이랑 리스닝은

혼자 계속 연습을 했고

라이팅이랑 스피킹에서는 도움을 좀 받아야겠다

이렇게 생각을 한 거죠

스피킹 과외를 받았는데

선생님이 롸이팅도 조금씩 봐주셨어요

2 단계에서 제가 또 추천하고 싶은 방법은

스터디 그룹이에요

우리가 어느 정도 공부를 했고

시험에 대한 이해를 하고 있는상태에서

나와 실력이 비슷하고 목표 점수가 비슷한 사람들과 같이

그룹을 짜서 스터디를 하면

도움을 많이 받을 수 있다고 생각해요

스터디 파트너들 끼리 피드백도 주고 받고요

공부 할당량 같은거 를 잘 잡아서

서로 으쌰! 으쌰! 이렇게 해가지고

공부할 수 있는 방법이라서

저는 스터디 그룹도 추천을 해요

그리고 1단계에서 말씀드렸던 요 3, 4, 5번 있자나요

연습 문제 풀고 어휘 늘려가고

오답노트 만드는거 요고는 계속 쭉 이어 가야 돼요

아시죠?

특히 오답노트는요! 정말 정말 중요해요!

오답노트를 꾸준히 만들고 잘 활용 하셔야지

점수를 빨리 상승시킬 수 있어요

이제 2단계에서 공부한 스케줄을 어떻게 잡으면 좋을까요

내가 부족한 파트가 어느정도 되냐에 따라서 달라집니다

목표점수에 비해서 많이 부족한 파트가

한개 일수도고 두개일 수도있고

세개일 수도 있고 4개 일수도 있겠죠

제일 좋은거는 하루에 네 파트를 다 보는게 제일 좋아요

아이엘츠 시험이 좀 신기하게도 내가 어느 파트에 소홀하면

거기서 점수가 내려 가더라구요

아무리 자신이 있어도

그 파트를 그냥 아예 놓아 버리면 안되는 것 같아요

그래서 최대한 4 파트를 다 같이 공부를 끌고 가는게 좋은데

대부분 우리가 아이엘츠만

전념해서 공부를 하는 상황이 아니잖아요

4파트를 매일 공부하는게 사실상 매우 힘들죠

내가 부족한 파트에 조금 더 우선순위를 둬서

스케줄을 짜는 거에요

그니까 내가 만약에 라이팅이 제일 많이 부족하고

그 다음 스피킹 리스닝 리딩 순이다

그러면 제일 부족한 라이팅과 스피킹은

매일 공부를 하는게 좋고요

리스닝과 리딩은 요로케 격일로 넣는다거나

각자 상황에 맞게 주중에 공부할 수 있는 시간이 있고

주말에 공부할 수 있는 시간이 있으면

거기에 맞춰서 이제 스케줄을 짜는데

최대한 고르게 분배를 해서 스케줄을 짜고

그리고 그 스케줄 따라서 공부를 하려고 노력을 해야 됩니다

이 라이팅이랑 스피킹 같은 경우는

글도 많이 써야 되고 답변도 많이 만들어 놔야돼서

시간이 엄청 많이 걸리잖아요

그래서 라이팅공부 부터 시작하거나

스피킹 공부 부터 시작했으면

그거 하나만 붙잡고 있다가 하루가 다 갈 수가 있거든요

다른 파트를 못 보고 다음날로 넘어갔는데

오늘도 라이팅을 보다가 또넘어가고

그렇게 되면은 곤란하죠

그래서 예를 들어서 라이팅 2시간 스피킹 1시간에

리스닝 1시간 공부를 하기로 했으면

딱 2시간만 하고 다음으로 넘어가고 넘어가야되요

그리고 그 다음날 이제 못한 부분 다시 라이팅 이어가고

하루에 최소한 두 파트 가능하면 최대한 많은 파트를

매일매일 보면서 공부를 하는 것을 추천드려요

근데 요고는 스케줄은

각자의 상황에 맞게 유동적으로 짜시면 되요

알겠죠!

3단계!

이제 거의 다 왔는데

점수가 계속 나올 듯 말듯 안나오는 경우

다 0.5점씩 모자라 거의 다 왔다 이게 아니고

여러 번의 시험 속에서 각 파트별로

그 내 목표 점수 이상씩을 받아본 상태에요

근데 이게 한번에 안나와서 지금 점수를 못 받고 있는 상태

즉 고지가 눈 앞일때

어떤 식으로 좀 전략을 짜는게 좋냐!

그 얘기를 제가 좀 드려 보려고 해요

지금 아이엘츠에 올인 하셔야돼요

내가 짜낼 수 있는 모든 시간을

다 아이엘츠 공부에 투자하셔야 되구요

그리고 돈도 좀 투자 하셔야 되는거죠

지금부터는!

내가 칠수있는 시험은 최대한 다 쳐야 된다고 생각합니다

아이엘츠 시험비 비싸죠!

시험을 쳤는데 계속 안나오면

돈은 진짜 많이 깨질 수가 있어요

근데 이 기간을 최대한 단축하기 위해서는

저는 그래도 최대한 자주 최대한 많이

시험을 쳐야 된다고 생각해요

왜냐하면

우리가 실력이 지금 다와 있는데 걸쳐져 있는 상황인데

진짜 한끗 차이로 점수가 안나오고 있는 거기 때문에

아이엘츠 시험 난이도가 쭉 계속 똑같은 건 아니란 말이에요

이 번주는 리스닝이 살짝 어려웠다가

그 다음주는 리딩이 또 살짝 어려웠다가

뭐 이런 이상한 그런 뭔가 그런게 있어요

시험을 이렇게 띄엄띄엄 치다보면

약간 쉬운 이런 시험들을 놓칠 수가 있잖아요

그리고 또 라이팅이랑 스피킹 같은 경우에는

난이도가 왔다 갔다 한다보다도

토픽이 자꾸 바뀌니까

내가 연습했던 토픽이 나올 때와 처음 받는 토픽이 나올때

결과에 토픽 영향이 있잖아요

그래서 내가 준비했떤 내가 자신 있는 토픽을 받았을 때

리스닝과 리딩의 난이도도 내 한테 적합하게 나오는

그 아주 적절한 시험을 만나기 위해서는

시험을 최대한 자주 치는게 좋다는게 제 의견이에요

시험을 예를 들어서 2주마다 계속 치는거에요

이런식으로 시험을 치면 어떤점이 좋냐면

수능 2전의 기분으로 계속 공부를 하는거에요

일단 시험을 2주 뒤에 계속 치니까

시험을 만약에 한달에 한번씩 친다거나

뭐 그 이상 벌어져서 쳐서 시험결과를 받아본 다음에 그 다음 시험을 접수 할지 말지 결정하는 식으로

시험을 준비하면 시험을 치고 나서 결과 나올 때까지

사람이 좀 해이해져요

그리고 결과를 받으면 다시 쳐야되네

다시 또 마음을 다 잡아서

그 다음 시험을 위해서 또 감을 올릴 때 까지

또 시간 조금 걸린다 말이죠

공부하는 리듬에서 차이가 좀 생겨요

그래서 최대한 자주 많은 시험을 치면서

내 시험 감을 올리고 시험 운도 받고

이게 이렇게 해서 시너지 효과가 나서

간당간당한 실력이 모두 한 곳에 모여서

이치점수가 완성이 되는거에요

저는 막바지에는 계속 그런식으로 시험을 쳤어요

내가 어느정도 이제 올라왔다

실력이 나올 수 있다 라는 확신이 들면

시험 두개를 같이 접수를 해서

내가 이 두번안에 받겠다 라는 마음으로

이제 공부를 막바지까지 하는거에요

그래서 만약에 안 나오면 그 다음 시험 하나 더 접수하고

그리고 또 한가지 제가 더 말씀드리고 싶은팁은 뭐냐면요

내가 Each점수가 안나오는

이 과정이 길어 지는 이유 중에 하나가

목표치를 너무 낮게 잡아서 일수도 있거든요

Each 7점을 받기 위해서 딱 목표를 삼고 공부를 하니까

내 실력이 이 6.5와 7에서 계속 왔다가 갔다 하는 거예요

그래서 한번씩 나왔다 안나왔다 하면서

Each 점수가 안나오는데

내가 아예 목표를 높게 잡아버리는거죠

Each 8점을 받을 거야 라고 생각하고 목표를 세우고

공부를를 해버리면 물론 어렵죠 Each 8점 어렵죠

못받을? 그런 점수인데! 어쨌든

근데 이렇게 생각하고 공부를 하면

왔다 갔다하는 이 영역 자체가 살짝 놀러갈 수 있고

그러면서 Each 점수 받는 게 조금 더 빨라질 수 있는 거예요

제가 옛날에 몇달 정도 주변 사람들 소개로! 해가지고

과외 한 적이 있었는데

이치 6.0 필요한 학생이 공부를 하면서

스피킹 같은데 준비를 하다가도

idiom도 쓸 수 있고 조금 더 고급스러운 표현을 써 보자

이렇게 얘기를 하니까

아 그건 7.0 필요한거고 나는 6점 밖에 필요 없어서

나는 그런 표현은 필요 없다 그렇게 생각하고

그리고 리스닝이랑 리딩같은 경우도

6점 이면은 이만큼만 맞으면 되니까

나는 이만큼 틀려도 되니까라고 생각하고

그거 이상 더 열심히 공부를 안하는거에요

그렇게 하지 말고

더 목표를 높게 잡고 공부를 하면

적어도 내 목표점수 가지는 받을 확률이 커진다 이거죠

저는 그래서 항상 오버를 9점이 목표인데요

받을수 없는 목표를 해가지고 저는 공부를 해요

Each 점수가 나오지 않아서 정체기가 찾아오고

거기에 이제 갇혀서 계속 스트레스를 받고 있다보면

지푸라기라기라도 잡고 싶어져요

주변에서 하는 얘기에 귀가 팔랑팔랑 걸리거든요

여러 소문이 막 돌아요

아이엘츠 출제기관이 2군데 잖아요

하나는 영국이고 하나는 호주

호주에서 시험 치면 전부다 호주출제 시험만칠수 있어요

한국에서 치는 분들은 요 둘 중에 하나 선택해서 치잖아요

영국문화원이 더 어렵다 더라 IDP가 더 어렵다 더라

이런 얘기도 하고

그리고 어느 시험장 가면은

점수를 더 잘준다더라 뭐 이런 얘기도 하고

뭐 영어권 국가에서 사는분들은 많이 들어보셨을 거에요

한국가면 점수 잘 준다더라

이런 떠도는 소문들은 대부분 다 신빙성이 그렇게 없어요

왜냐하면 그냥 개인적인 한두 번의 경험으로 결론을 내서

이렇다 더라 저렇다 더라 이렇게 말이 도는 거거든요

그러니까 그런 얘기들에 너무 휘둘리지는

말아야 될것 같아요

제 경험에 대해서 말씀드릴께요

저는 호주에서 첫 시험 2번을 쳤자나요

그리고 그 다음 2번은 한국에서 쳤어요

그리고 그 다음엔 또 호주에서 계속 쳤단말이에요

제가 한국 갈 있어가지고 한국을 간건데

한국 입국 하자마자 시험을 치고 한국 출국하기 직전에 치고

요로케 2번을 쳤어요

근데 그 중에서 한번은 IDP였고

한번은 또 영국문화원이었고

그렇게 시험을 쳤거든요

근데 제 첫 시험을 제외하고

제일 낮은 점수 나온게 한국에서 친 시험이에요

제가 생각할 때는 어느 나라에서 치고

어느 장소에서 치는 것보다

그 개인이 얼마나 준비되어 있고 그날 컨디션이 얼마 좋고

이런 영향이 훨씬 더 크게 작용하는 것 같아요

뭐 굳이 한국에서 점수를 잘준다고 해서 한국행 티켓을 끊고

가서 치고 그렇게까지는 안 하셔도 될것 같구요

또 다른 경험을 말씀드리면

특정 시험관이 점수를 좀 후하게준다 이런건 있는것 같아요

왜냐면 제가 스피킹 점수를 높게 받았을 때

전부 다 한 시험관 이었거든요

3번정도 똑같은 시험관을 만났고

3번 다 점수가 좋았기 때문에

왜냐면 스피킹 시험 같은 경우는

채점 기준이 나와 있긴 하지만

실제로 점수를 매기는 게 사람이잖아요

그 사람의 어느정도 주관이 들어가는 것은

어쩔 수 없는 것 같아요

그래서 혹시 내가 한군데서만 시험을 계속 치고 있어서

같은 시험관을 또 여러번 만나고

그래서 점수가 안 나오고 있는 경우가 있으면

시험장을 한번 옮겨 보는 것도 뭐 시도해 볼만 한것 같아요

예전에 점수를 받아 본 적이 있는데

유효기간이 지났거나 제너럴 아카데믹 모듈의 차이 때문에

시험을 다시쳐야 된다거나

받아본 적이 있는 점수를 또 받아야 해서

시험을 치시는 분들한테 제가 좀 드리고 싶은 조언은요

시험 난이도가 해가 갈수록 조금씩 올라가는 것 같아요

출제경향도 조금씩 바뀌고요

아무런 준비없이 그냥 나오겠지 하고 시험을 치기 보다는

어느정도 준비를 하고 가는게 좋을 거에요

캠브리지 아이엘츠 최신 버전은 꼭 풀어보시고요

그리고 롸이팅이랑 스피킹도

최근 몇 달 사이에 나온 기출문제로 가지고

연습을 몇번은 해보고 가는게 좋을것 같아요

제가 충분히 준비를 안하고 가서

시험을 뭐 한번 내지 두번 만에 받을 수 있었던 것도

세번 치고 네번 치고 했던 것 같아서

똑같은 실수를 안하셨으면 하는 마음에 이런 말씀을 드려요

오늘은 아이엘츠 시험 준비를 하는 그 단계별로

전반적으로 어떤식으로 공부를 이끌어 가는게 좋은지

그 얘기를 해 봤는데요

이거 그냥 굉장히 소소한 팁들 이였자나요

이제 아이엘츠 독학으로 공부 열심히 하고 계신 분들

시작하려고 하는 분들한테 드릴 수 있는 꿀팁은
