Lo scorso fine settimana io ed Erika siamo stati nelle Langhe, una delle aree geografiche più belle del Piemonte e forse dell'Italia intera.

Se siete scettici proverò a convincervi con questo video.

Vi abbiamo fatto vedere la montagna, vi abbiamo fatto vedere la città,

vi abbiamo fatto vedere alcuni luoghi qui in Italia, ma non eravamo mai venuti qui in collina. Oggi io ed Erika siamo qui nelle Langhe,

una delle regioni più famose del Piemonte, la nostra regione, ed è anche patrimonio dell'Unesco. Però è una regione che tanti stranieri non conoscono.

Io ho notato che tanti non sanno cosa siano le Langhe nonostante che siano una regione davvero stupenda. Intendo "regione storica" perché siamo sempre nel Piemonte, e le Langhe insieme al Monferrato e anche al Roero sono delle terre famose per l'enogastronomia, quindi il vino e il cibo.

Famosa la Fiera del Tartufo di Alba che tra l'altro c'è in questi giorni ma noi non andremo lì anche perché, in questi giorni non è una grande idea, forse. Siamo qui nella prima tappa, un paesino che si chiama Santo Stefano Belbo e andremo a fare un giro, in realtà è piuttosto tardi e non abbiamo ancora mangiato, quindi andremo a vedere se c'è qualche posto che ci può cibare. - Noi non abbiamo ancora mangiato... Io ho preso dei Ravioli del Plin, tipico piatto piemontese. Anche Erika ha un tipico piatto piemontese, ovvero i "Tajarin", "Tagliolini" Al tartufo? Funghi! Funghi, sì! Tartufo sarebbe un po' troppo costoso, forse. Il nostro itinerario era piuttosto improvvisato perché fino al giorno prima eravamo incerti se partire oppure no

considerando… beh, potete immaginarvi. Poi siamo andati lo stesso, ma senza alcun piano e per questo, sabato pomeriggio siamo andati in alcuni paesini e borghi un po' a casaccio. Il primo è Santo Stefano Belbo, un comune di poco meno di 4000 abitanti, famoso soprattutto per aver dato i natali allo scrittore italiano Cesare Pavese,

cosa che abbiamo scoperto direttamente sul posto. Nella cittadina si trova pure un museo dedicato a Pavese, che però non abbiamo avuto tempo di visitare. Vorresti vivere in un borgo?

Mah, non lo so. Vorrei provare! Dopo aver girato un po' per il centro siamo ripartiti alla volta del paesino successivo, Camo. Una delle cose più belle delle Langhe, secondo me, sono queste viste mozzafiato sulle colline ricoperte dai vigneti. A proposito, “Langa” è un termine piemontese che indica una collina con un crinale lungo e sottile, proprio come quelli che caratterizzano questa zona.

Abbiamo fatto tappa in un altro paesino che si chiama Camo, giusto? Sì, giusto!

E non c'è davvero nessuno, è molto, molto silenzioso. Non c'è anima viva attorno a noi, siamo gli unici, non abbiamo visto nessun altro, a parte delle persone in moto.

Infatti siamo anche senza mascherina, o meglio con la mascherina abbassata perché non c'è davvero nessuno. Sinceramente non so se è così vuoto anche a causa della situazione Covid attuale, perché proprio in questi giorni è peggiorata molto. Però guardate che spettacolo, le colline. Io cerco sempre di mettere una buona parola sulla mia regione, sul Piemonte e spero anche che qualcuno venga invogliato dalle cose che faccio vedere a venire a fare un giro, un salto qui da noi, perché ci sono tante, tante cose davvero belle. Qua siamo arrivati praticamente alla piazza centrale, dove c'è tutta la vita, sembrerebbe, di questa piccola cittadina

perché c'è la chiesa, c'è la scuola e c'è il Municipio.

E la posta!

E la posta, è vero! È tutto qua, è tutto qua. Uno può venire qui e fare tutto ciò che deve fare nella vita. - Davide? - Eh?

Ma non è che c'è il lockdown e noi non lo sappiamo? Perché non c'è davvero nessuno in giro. Penso che sia una possibile spiegazione. Forse non abbiamo letto le notizie stamattina! Però guarda, c'è un auto lì! Quindi c'è della civiltà. Qua c'è un panorama molto bello, l'unica cosa è che c'è un pochino di foschia, non è proprio chiarissimo, non è proprio terso, il cielo. Però meglio di stamattina! Per fortuna le nuvole di stamattina si sono un po' diradate perché stamattina non si vedeva nulla, era tutto grigio e deprimente.

A quanto pare questa cittadina ospita un museo a cielo aperto

e infatti, camminando per le strade, si vedono tutte queste installazioni, possiamo chiamarle, artistiche di arte contemporanea. Se solo ci fosse qualcuno per vederle...! Sembra esserci l'invasione delle cimici, in realtà. Ovunque andiamo ci circondano e ci attaccano e in questi pochi centimetri si può vedere quante ce ne sono. Eh, questa è la vita di campagna!

Gli insetti fanno parte della quotidianità, non come da noi che viviamo in un mondo asettico!

"Ainsettico" forse volevi dire...!

Ottobre è periodo di vendemmia, si raccoglie l'uva.

È già stata raccolta in realtà, però qua si vede ancora qualcosa,

suppongo che sia uva che è stata scartata. Non sono esperto di vinicoltura ma suppongo che sia uva che non era particolarmente buona e per questo non è stata raccolta. È il momento del video in cui ci ricordi il tuo Instagram, dove vedere queste foto. Sì, potete trovare queste e molte altre foto sul mio Instagram, che Davide lascerà qui. È molto bello il paesaggio.

Io ed Erika osservavamo però che è ancora abbastanza verde e secondo noi a Novembre è ancora più bello... No? Sì!

Siamo venuti in un altro paesino, questo si chiama Mango.

Anche lui ha la sua chiesa e anche il suo castello, che adesso vi facciamo vedere.

Sembra molto simpatico e ci sono delle persone! Quindi non c'è un lockdown, abbiamo avuto la conferma. Mango è un comune piuttosto piccolo, abitato da 1300 persone. Ma come spesso capita, anche un borgo così piccolo come Mango ha il suo castello, costruito nel XIII secolo. A chi ama la letteratura interesserà sapere che Mango è un luogo centrale nelle vicende del romanzo “Il partigiano Johnny” di Beppe Fenoglio, la cui trama è basata su vicende di lotta partigiana realmente vissute dallo scrittore durante la Seconda Guerra mondiale. La nostra ultima tappa è Neive, uno splendido borgo

rimasto praticamente intatto dai tempi del medioevo.

A differenza delle tappe precedenti, praticamente desolate, Neive è un luogo molto turistico e ce ne siamo accorti subito

dalla quantità di persone in giro. Neive è stata inserita tra i Borghi più belli d'Italia e un po' come tutti i comuni langaroli,

è specializzata nella produzione di vino. Qui si producono infatti quattro celebri vini piemontesi:

Barbaresco, Barbera, Moscato e Dolcetto. Noi ci siamo arrivati sul fare della sera

e ci siamo goduti il tramonto su un altro stupendo paesaggio da cartolina. Abbiamo concluso anche... Siamo un po' bui, Erika! ...Il nostro giro della ridente cittadina di Neive e ora torniamo a casa. Il giorno seguente abbiamo salutato l'agriturismo in cui abbiamo alloggiato, che non vi ho fatto vedere molto bene in realtà, ma ci tengo comunque a consigliarvelo se doveste andare nelle Langhe. Si chiama “Corte di Langa” ed è gestito da una famiglia (marito, moglie e due figlie)

la cui storia mi ha colpito molto: hanno deciso di abbandonare la vita di città

per dedicarsi alla vita di campagna. Hanno rilevato un terreno e le strutture di una vecchia azienda agricola abbandonata

e le hanno rimesse in sesto, reinventandosi in età adulta contadini e albergatori. Io ed Erika siamo stati trattati davvero benissimo, e quindi ci andava di mettere una buona parola su questo posto. Siamo qui a Monforte d'Alba, uno dei borghi più belli d'Italia dal 2018 e andremo ad esplorarlo per voi e vi porteremo con noi. Praticamente, Erika, qui nelle Langhe ogni due metri c'è un'enoteca! Eh, sì!

Cioè un posto dove degustare vino, come è giusto che sia, come è prevedibile. Monforte d'Alba è infatti uno degli undici comuni nei quali si produce il celebre vino Barolo, il vino dei re e il re dei vini, come viene chiamato. Oltre a ciò la piccola Monforte d'Alba è stata inserita, come Neive, tra i borghi più belli d'Italia. La parte antica del borgo è arroccata su una collina e per raggiungerla bisogna inerpicarsi su per le stradine strette che vedete.

Da questa stradina si arriva a vedere questa bellissima vista, purtroppo oggi la vista è un po' peggio rispetto a ieri, c'è un po' di foschia, però possiamo comunque ammirare lo spettacolo delle Langhe. In cima si trova l'Auditorium Horszovski, un anfiteatro naturale con gradini in erba che, a quanto pare, ospita periodicamente concerti di artisti illustri.

Monforte è un altro piccolo gioiello delle Langhe. In Piemonte, come avrete capito, i piccoli borghi sono davvero numerosi. Pensate che sui quasi 8000 comuni che abbiamo in tutta Italia 1100 si trovano in Piemonte, il 15%!

Lasciamo adesso Monforte. Ti è piaciuto, Erika?

Sì, molto carino, caratteristico. Perché volevamo vedere almeno altri due posti

e tra l'altro stanotte è cambiata l'ora, il che significa che alle cinque e mezza sarà già buio, quindi sì, dobbiamo partire!

Google Maps ha questa mania di farti fare delle strade che sono un po' troppo strane e strette e difficili da percorrere. Non è la prima volta che ci succede in questi due giorni. E niente, speriamo di non trovare altre macchine,

perché è sempre un problema quando succede. Però la vista è molto bella. Ecco. Detto, fatto!

Ci siamo dovuti fermare per venire di nuovo a fare qualche foto. Rispetto a ieri abbiamo trovato varie zone in cui i colori sono più arancioni e rossicci rispetto a quelli verdi di ieri. Quindi adesso faremo altre foto per l'Instagram di Erika. Guarda, là c'è l'uva!

Peccato che non ci sia il sole di ieri perché questo è uno dei punti forse più belli che abbiamo visto finora. Pensiamo, tra l'altro, che queste siano uve del Barolo, dato che ci stiamo avvicinando a Barolo, la città di Barolo, celebre per il suo vino che probabilmente conoscete anche nei vostri paesi. Però io non so nulla di vino, quindi non prendete la mia parola per vera. Dopo aver attraversato in auto le omonime colline, siamo giunti all'ultima tappa del nostro viaggio, ovvero Barolo, paesino di 700 anime. Oltre ad essere celebre per la produzione vinicola, Barolo ha una storia antichissima che non starò qui a riassumervi per mancanza di tempo. Mi limiterò a dirvi che non ha uno, ma ben due castelli. Qui vediamo il Castello Faletti, situato nel centro del paese, la cui storia si ritiene aver avuto inizio mille anni fa. Spinti dalla nostra voglia di colmare le nostre carenze in materia di vino, siamo andati a visitare Vajra, un'azienda produttrice di vini. Abbiamo ordinato del cibo e anche del vino perché ci aspetta una degustazione di quattro vini... Quattro vini, e non volevamo... Andare a stomaco vuoto! Esatto! Non volevamo andare a stomaco vuoto per non ubriacarci totalmente. Quindi piccola pausa con olive ascolane e patatine. - Ottimo!

Non essendo io mai stato in una cantina è stata una visita istruttiva. In questa sala dall'aspetto molto futuristico avviene la fermentazione del vino, in queste enormi vasche d'acciaio. La fermentazione dura 7-10 giorni; poi il vino viene condotto in queste enormi botti dove viene “affinato”. La fase di “affinamento” dura anche vari mesi o addirittura anni. Infine il vino viene imbottigliato e viene lasciato ad invecchiare ancora per qualche mese prima di essere messo in vendita. Alla fine della visita abbiamo degustato 4 vini

della cantina Vajra, tutti ovviamente ottimi. Per quello che ci posso capire io, almeno. Quindi… Non molto.

Abbiamo appena ultimato la nostra degustazione, è stata un'esperienza molto interessante e istruttiva anche perché io ed Erika non sappiamo praticamente nulla di vino, è un campo in cui siamo molto carenti. Non sapevamo nulla di vino, perché comunque abbiamo imparato delle cose. Sì! E ora siamo praticamente ubriachi, però. Quindi, dato che nei commenti più di una volta ci avete detto, ci avete rimproverato perché beviamo e ci mettiamo alla guida, adesso dobbiamo aspettare! Beh, nel senso... Non è che lo facciamo solo per i commenti, anche perché non è il caso di mettersi alla guida ubriachi, ovviamente! Esatto! Però anche grazie ai commenti! Quindi niente, adesso aspettiamo in macchina perché... Sì, meglio aspettare!
