How can I help end violence against women and girls?

There are four things that I would recommend.

Number one, please believe survivors and listen to them.

Don't say: "You asked for it" or "why didn't you leave?"

Say: "We hear you. We believe you." "We stand with you."

Number two, teach the next generation and listen to them.

Have conversations on consent, on gender stereotypes, very early on.

Number three, hold yourself and your peers accountable.

Sexist comments, catcalling, inappropriate behavior is never ok. It's never acceptable.

Number four and the final one:

Please donate to women's organizations because when you do that,

you amplify their voices and you support survivors of violence.
