She sits up in her chair and looks at me.

“Don't try to be clever. You know what I mean.”

I feel myself getting a little warm. “I really don't know what you mean.”

She has another drink of her beer and says, “You know very well that they discovered an underground pyramid in the desert.”

“How can you bury a pyramid in the sand? What are you talking about?” I say.

“It is true. The pyramid was buried in the sand. They found lots of jewels and other treasures in the pyramid.”
