Story 10. The Penny
A penny is the smallest amount of money.
Many countries have stopped using it.
Why?
Because a penny is not enough to buy anything.
But there was a time when pennies were more useful.
There are many sayings about the penny.
For example: A penny saved is a penny earned.
What does that mean?
It means saving money is as important as earning it.
Even though we don't use pennies anymore, that saying is still very true.
I love my piggy bank.
