Body of 1-Year-Old Found in Indiana 2 Days After She Went Missing

The body of a missing Indiana one-year-old was found in a remote area about 10 miles from her home.

Shaylyn Ammerman went missing around midnight on Tuesday, March 22. Relatives believe the toddler was taken from the home where her father and grandmother live in Spencer, Indiana. The girl's father reported that his mother put the girl to sleep around 10 p.m. and checked on her around midnight. When the two family members woke up the next morning, the girl was gone. Police have taken 22-year-old Kyle Parker of Spencer into custody in connection with the case. Parker is being held on charges of obstruction of justice, failure to report a dead body and unlawful disposition of a dead body. Parker was reportedly at the Ammerman's home on Tuesday evening along with additional family members. The police say there are still other persons of interest in the case and that the investigation is far from over.
