ESOL and New Scots stories, The Breakfast

The Breakfast

On Wednesday morning the women went to Kilwinning. We made breakfast for friends. We made Arabic food. We made sauce and Harisa. Harisa is an Arabic sweet. We made falafel. We also made aubergine, chips and cauliflower. We cut tomatoes, garlic, onion, olives, mint, parsley, cucumber, and pickled cucumber. Our friends arrived at 11 o'clock. Everybody was very happy because they like to dance, talk, meet and eat together. A new friend came. She is from Iraq. Zayneb loves Arabic food. Some people didn't dance because they were tired. Some people didn't dance at all. Some people danced a little. We played music and danced dabka. The party finished at 2 o'clock. We cleaned the kitchen and put away the tables and chairs.
