Je commençais à avoir peur –horriblement peur, mais alors, j'éprouvai un sentiment de sécurité en songeant à cet anneau dans lequel je me tenais. Je commençai aussi à penser que j'étais travaillé par mon imagination, à cause de cette nuit, de cette obscurité, et aussi de toute cette agitation, et de cette terrible anxiété que j'avais éprouvée.
