tenemos un invitado súper especial. Él es César y, por favor, César, preséntate tú. Cuéntanos.

Hola Miguel, pues soy César, soy profesor de español de España, aunque estoy en Londres. Vivo en

Londres desde hace... te estaba contando antes, casi diez años, ya, y mi proyecto en internet se llama

Spanish Language Coach, donde especialmente tengo tres podcast para todos los niveles de

estudiantes principiantes, intermedios y avanzados, e intento que a través de los podcast, además de

mejorar la comprensión del español, pues puedan conocer un poquito mejor el estilo de vida español,

algunas tradiciones... Y luego también hablo de temas que me parecen interesantes para cualquier

persona, así que tiene doble intención.

Sí, eso no lo has dicho concretamente, pero los podcast son muy buenos. Tienes tres podcasts muy

buenos.

Muchas gracias. Está mal que yo lo diga, ¿no? No sonaría muy honesto.

Pero yo sí lo puedo decir, así que perfecto. Ya tenéis algo que hacer después del vídeo. Pero hoy no

estamos aquí para hablar de podcasts, sino para hablar de lo que hacemos más allá del trabajo. Porque

César también es su propio jefe, también trabaja a distancia, por lo tanto, tiene que aprender a gestionar

su tiempo libre, su tiempo de trabajo y todo lo que haya entre medio. César, ¿tú cómo lo haces? ¿Cuánto

tiempo libre dedicas, seguro, a la semana para ti?

Pues, mira, Miguel, yo llevo cinco años siendo mi propio jefe y creo que todavía no he aprendido a

gestionar mi tiempo correctamente. E intento, porque especialmente los primeros años donde estaba

dando clases, creando contenido y todo esto, trabajaba prácticamente de lunes a domingo y sabía que

era el peaje que tenía que pagar para para conseguir los objetivos que tenía. Ahora intento que el fin de

semana sí que sea sagrado y no trabajo, aunque siempre termino a lo mejor leyendo algún libro

relacionado con el español, algún manual o relacionado con las redes sociales o con el marketing para

poder llegar a más estudiantes. Entonces, al final, yo siempre digo lo mismo, ¿soy un poco esclavo de mi

trabajo? Pues creo que sí, pero es que en realidad me gusta mucho lo que hago. Entonces, a veces no

se siente como trabajo, pero aun así, obviamente, muchas de las actividades que hacemos requieren un

esfuerzo intelectual grande y físico también. Entonces, pues a veces hay que ponerse freno y marcar un

poco los horarios, pero la verdad es que todavía no he aprendido a hacerlo correctamente.

Lo comprendo y yo por supuesto, que tengo mucha menos experiencia en esto... O sea, estoy todavía un

poquito lejos de ese punto. Aunque también he de decir que el grueso de mi trabajo, el trabajo más

pesado, lo hago de lunes a viernes y es además gradual. O sea, mi lunes es tranquilito, mi martes es

intenso, mi miércoles es jodido, jueves más tranquilo, viernes bastante relajado, sábado y domingo: lo

justo. Intento aprovechar el sábado y el domingo para no dar clases. Eso sí que es algo innegociable. Lo

he aprendido gracias a otras personas. No... Nunca he dado clase sábado y domingo, pero intento

aprovechar esos días para crear contenido si me siento inspirado, entonces... Sobre todo, aprovecho los

momentos en los que mi cerebro trabaja "gratis" para apuntar todas las ideas y el sábado y el domingo,

ejecutarlas.

Claro. Además, esto que has dicho creo que es muy importante. Al final, la creación de contenido para

redes sociales, con cada red social tiene una personalidad diferente y de verdad es que requiere

inspiración. O sea, no es simplemente explicar pues el contraste entre indefinido e imperfecto como si

estuvieras en una academia. Tienes que hacerlo interesante, tienes que crear una narrativa, tienes que

aplicar el storytelling... Tienes que hacer un montón de cosas que necesitas un cierto grado de

inspiración, ingenio, creatividad y que no siempre están presentes. Entonces, muchas veces sí que me

pasa que a lo mejor no estoy trabajando o estoy en el gimnasio... Cuando estoy haciendo deporte es un

momento, yo creo que imagino que es porque el cerebro también se activa donde me vienen un montón

de ideas. Entonces tengo una app en el móvil que se llama... Creo que es Evernote o algo así.

Sí la conozco.

No, no, ese ya no lo uso. Notion. Ahora uso Notion, que me gusta mucho, y ahí me apunto todas las

ideas porque me vienen: "podría hacerlo". A ver, que luego no hago ni un 10% de lo que pienso. Pero

bueno, yo apunto las ideas de ahí para el futuro y para cuando se me acaben las ideas.

Sí, pues yo hago lo mismo, pero en la aplicación de notas de Google, no me...

Da igual el lugar, pero eso sí, no perderlo. No perderlo.

Sí, pues yo, fíjate, a mí me pasa al revés. Si estoy entrenando es cuando no pienso ni se me pasa por la

cabeza nada. También, di que esa... Es mi mayor hobby. O sea, es lo que más... Después de mi trabajo,

es a lo que más tiempo le dedico, lo que más me gusta. Entonces como que ese momento lo respeto

mucho, pero más allá de eso, pf. Voy dándome un paseo por la calle, cualquier idea: "Hostia esto, ah,

cómo se dice, fíjate. Ah, pues para esto tenemos tres palabras y en inglés solo tienen una. Voy a hacer

un vídeo de esto".

Claro, claro, es que además es que, es... con la enseñanza del español como lengua extranjera, es que

es ilimitado lo que puedes enseñar. Cualquier cosa de la vida cotidiana puede ser enseñable,

Y por lo que has dicho, de entrenar y no tener inspiración, ahora estoy pensando y es verdad, yo

entreno... Intento entrar cuatro veces a la semana, dos de ellas con un entrenador y las otras dos, yo

solo. Cuando estoy yo solo es cuando puedo pensar, pero cuando entreno con él es que no tengo tiempo

ni de pensar. Y yo siempre le digo a él "es que es como si estuviera meditando", porque es que no me da

tiempo ni a pensar. Estoy tan cansado, estoy tan... Me lleva tan al límite que es, de verdad, como una

sesión de mindfulness de una hora. Que estás concentrado en lo que estás haciendo, ¿no?

Sí, sí. Sí. Literalmente no puedes escapar de ese momento.

Sí, sí, sí. Es lo que más me gusta de poder hacer un entrenamiento tan, tan intenso: no pensar, que está

muy bien.

¿Y qué entrenas? Por curiosidad.

Voy al gimnasio.

La verdad es que no... Yo creo que... Ir al gym ya es...

Ir al gimnasio, entrenar... O sea, sí. Voy al gimnasio y levanto pesas y hago máquinas y esas cosas para

ganar masa muscular, porque ya tengo una edad. No soy tan joven como tú. Tengo un poco de

escoliosis, lo que me da un montón de dolor de espalda al trabajar tantas horas sentado.

Horrible, se nota muchísimo. Sí.

Sisisisisi. Y... Ir al gimnasio me ha aliviado. Bueno, de hecho es que mi dolor de espalda ha

desaparecido por completo. O sea que estoy súper contento.

Súper bien. Sí, ya sabes que no lo puedes dejar nunca.

No, no, desde luego.

Muy bien. Y aparte de entrenar, yo también intento, para no estar todo el día pegado a la silla y con la

espalda comprimida, intento caminar como mínimo una hora al día... Intento sacarla de donde sea. Si

tiene que ser por la noche, pues es por la noche.

Es mucho una hora al día, wow.

Sí, sí, sí. Pero es que si no... Es que yo antes caminaba muchísimo, cuando vivía en República Checa,

tenía... No creaba contenido. Entonces, todas las horas que no daba clase, para mí. Y, pues, andaba dos

horas, dos horas y media todos los días, porque me encanta.

Pero y una pregunta, andas, ¿andas tú solo, andas con alguien? Tú solo. ¿Y andas sin escuchar nada o

vas escuchando música o...?

Pues aprovecho mis paseos para llamar a gente que normalmente está en otros países. Cuando estaba

en República Checa llamaba a los españoles cuando he estado, cuando estoy en España, pues llamo a

los checos y así me entretengo. Y si no, pues escucho música y ya está.

Vale, vale. Yo es que he intentado esto que dicen de salir a pasear, pero sin ningún tipo de estímulo.

Simplemente pasear por la naturaleza. Bueno, en un parque de Londres. Pero es que me aburro si me

voy solo. Siempre estoy, y es una de las cosas de las que hablo a veces en el podcast, siempre estoy

estimulado. O sea, yo nunca, nunca estoy no haciendo nada. Y si estoy haciendo algo y estoy yo solo,

que no estoy hablando con otra persona, necesito tener los auriculares y estar escuchando música o un

podcast. Si no, me agobio. Es como: "Ostras, nunca me aburro". Y eso también creo que genera un

poquito de fatiga mental, el estar continuamente estimulado.

Absolutamente. Además, yo creo que los creadores de contenido consumimos muchísimo contenido,

pero de otra manera, porque yo lo he notado un montón. En este año no veo los vídeos de los demás de

la misma forma que antes. Ahora pienso: "Hostia, ¡qué buena luz tiene este tío! Fíjate, se ha puesto muy

cerca la cámara, ¡qué bien se le oye!" O a veces digo "este vídeo no aporta nada".

Claro, lo analizas mucho más.

Claro. Entonces es como... Bueno, intento ahorrarme esas cosas cuando voy a pasear. Intento no abrir

Instagram para nada.

Es trabajo.

Sí, sí, totalmente. Totalmente. Ver vídeos, ¿quién me iba a decir, eh? Y, te pasa también lo contrario,

que por supuesto, echar el freno es difícil cuando te gusta lo que haces, pero ¿te pasa lo contrario que

alguna vez tienes una época de "necesito vacaciones y me las puedo coger, así que... paz", y necesitas

forzarte otra vez?

Sí. A ver, creo que es muy difícil mantener el mismo nivel de motivación, pero es que en cualquier

proyecto. O sea, ni con tu trabajo, aunque seas autónomo o tengas tu propia empresa, proyecto... Ni

con, por ejemplo, yendo al gimnasio, hay semanas que estoy muy motivado y semanas que estoy menos

motivado. Pero incluso en una relación de pareja, pues no son... Hay ciclos. Entonces, simplemente no

puedes depender únicamente de la motivación y sabes que hay personas que dependen de ti. En el caso

de nuestro trabajo, porque tenemos estudiantes, tenemos personas a las que les gusta lo que hacemos y

eso también es un motivador externo para decir "bueno, la verdad no me apetece a lo mejor esta

semana... No estoy muy inspirado, pero voy a sacar inspiración de donde sea para hacer algo lo mejor

posible". Entonces, es verdad que como es un trabajo bastante... que recibes mucho el feedback de las

personas, es bastante reconfortante en ese sentido... Y prácticamente todos los días recibo algún email

de gente que escucha el podcast y son emails preciosos de gente que de verdad lo aprecia muchísimo y

le gusta mi trabajo, pues eso siempre es un motivador externo que me hace venir arriba. Decir "Va, ponte

las pilas, César, y al toro".

Totalmente, totalmente. Yo tengo un sentido de la responsabilidad muy grande. Enseguida pienso

"Hostia, esto... Es que esto lo tengo que hacer".

Claro.

Y, motivado o no, lo haré. Entonces, en ese sentido no me cuesta. O sea, bueno, me cuesta lo mismo

que a todos, pero quiero decir que no remoloneo. O sea, ¿que a las cuatro hay que grabar el vídeo y a
