[Vancouver, Canada] — LingQ is excited to announce the launch of our Canadian French Mini Stories. The LingQ Mini Stories, which form the core component in LingQ’s beginner content course, have until now only been available with audio using the standard pronunciation from France. The addition of a Canadian French version adds to the vast Library of French language resources on LingQ. This new course of 60 lessons is designed to help language learners from all around the world immerse themselves in Canadian French and make a breakthrough in their language skills.

LingQ Launches Canadian French Mini Stories

The Canadian French Mini Stories course includes lessons on everyday topics aimed at developing a strong foundation in Canadian French. The course is structured to allow learners to practice at their own pace and features the basic patterns of Canadian French with lots of repetition. The Mini Stories can be used by beginners and for later review. They are available for all 45 languages offered on LingQ.

"It’s always exciting when we are able to add new languages or accents," said Mark Kaufmann, co-founder of LingQ. “In this case, we already have some content with the Quebecois accent in our library, but this new addition represents a significant increase and more content targeting beginner and low intermediate learners of French. It will be beneficial for those who deliberately want to learn Canadian French, in addition to offering exposure to a widely spoken accent of French to all of our French learners. The reality is that exposure to a variety of accents is a good thing as a language learner. It just prepares you for more potential encounters in your target language,” Kaufmann continued.

The Canadian French Mini Stories course is available on LingQ's website and mobile app starting today.
