ומעיל זה דבר שמכסה את הגוף and a coat is something that covers the body

מפני גשם ושלג ורוח וקור from rain and snow and wind and cold

אבל הסתקרנתי but I was curious

מה ההבדל בין מעיל לג'קט לחליפה? what is the difference between a מעיל-coat and a jacket and a חליפה-suit jacket?

אז אני אראה לכם So I'll show you

מעיל, זה בגד יחסית ארוך A coat, it's a relatively long garment

טוב, המעיל שלי פחות ארוך Well, my coat is not so long

אבל תכל'ס, הוא די ארוך but really, it's pretty long

וזה ההבדל העיקרי בינו and that is the main difference between it

לבין הג'קט and the jacket

והמילה "ג'קט" כמובן באה משפות זרות And the word "jacket" of course comes from foreign languages

אז מה זה "חליפה"? So what is a חליפה?

זאת חליפה This is a suit (jacket) and the

והמילים "מעיל" ו"חליפה" words "coat" and "suit"

מופיעות בתורה appear in the Torah

לעומת זאת "ג'קט" כמובן לא מופיעה בתורה whereas "jacket" of course does not appear in the Torah
