丁力波 ： 莎士比亚 是 四百多 年 以前 的 人 啊 。 Ding Libo: Shakespeare was born more than four hundred years ago.

王小云 ： 李白 如果 活 着 ， 该 有 一 千 三 百 多 岁 了 。 Wang Xiaoyun: If Li Bai were alive, he would be more than 1,300 years old.

丁力波 ： 比 莎士比亚 早 那么 多 ！ Ding Libo: So much earlier than Shakespeare! 中国 文学 的 历史 真长 。 The history of Chinese literature is really long. 这些 古诗 我们 现在 恐怕 还 读 不了 。 We may not be able to read these ancient poems now. 我 记得 小时候 ， 我 妈妈 教 过 我 一 首 李白 的 诗 。 I remember when I was young, my mother taught me a poem by Li Bai.

王小云 ： 哪 一 首 诗 ， 你 还 背 得 出来 吗 ？ Wang Xiaoyun: Which poem can you still memorize?

丁力波 ： 我 试 试 。 Ding Libo: I will try.

床 前 明月 光 ， The bright moonlight in front of the bed,

疑 是 地上 霜 。 Suspected of frost on the ground. On pense qu'il s'agit de givre sur le sol.

举 头 望 明月 ， Looking up at the bright moon, En regardant la lune.

低头 思 故乡 。 Look down and think of hometown.

王小云 ： 你 唐诗 记得 很 熟 啊 ！ Wang Xiaoyun: You remember Tang poetry very well!

丁力波 ： 谢谢 。 Ding Libo: Thank you. 可是 除了 这 首 诗 以外 ， 别的 诗 我 都 背 不 出来 了 。 But apart from this poem, I can't recite any other poems.

王小云 ： 你 是不是 想 妈妈 了 ？ Wang Xiaoyun: Do you miss your mother?

丁力波 ： 是 ， 昨天 我 收到 了 妈妈 的 信 。 Ding Libo: Yes, I received a letter from my mother yesterday. 信 写 得 很长 ， 一共 三页 。 The letter is very long, three pages in total.

王小云 ： 杜甫 说 过 “ 家 书 抵 万 金 ”。 Wang Xiaoyun: Du Fu said, "A letter from a family is worth ten thousand gold". “ 书 ” 是 “ 信 ” 的 意思 ， 家里 来 的 信 是 很 珍贵 的 。 "Book" means "letter", and letters from home are very precious.

丁力波 ：“ 家 书 抵 万 金 ”， 多 么 好 的 诗 啊 ！ Ding Libo: "A letter from home is worth ten thousand pieces of gold", what a nice poem! 我 要 给 妈妈 回 一 封 长 信 ， 我 有 好 多 话 想 对 她 说 。 I want to reply a long letter to my mother, I have a lot to say to her.
