咁 呀 , 我 嘅 暑假 已經 過 咗 一個 星期 啦 。 So, my summer vacation has been over for a week.

過 得 好 快 呀 。

咁 喺度 呢 , 我 好 多謝 一啲 嘅 聽眾

咁 呀 , 開始 咗 啦 。 So, it's started.

但係 因為 唔使 返學 啦 。 But it is because I don't have to go back to school.

咁 呀 , 多 咗 時間 係 屋企 。 So, there is more time for housing.

咁 呀 , 比較 感覺 係 遊行 啲 、 得閒 啲 、 In this way, I feel more like traveling and relaxing,

chill 啲 、 輕鬆 啲 嘅 。

咁 呀 , 亦都 可以 瞓 晏 啲 啦 。

咁 呀 , 感覺 呢 係 好 正 呀 。 So, it feels so right.

可以 晏 少少 起身 咁 樣 。 You can get up so easily.

咁, 咁 個 禮拜 呢 , 就 我 都 冇 乜 特別 啲 人 問 我 。 So, I have not been asked by anyone in particular for such a service.

我 呀 嚟 暑假 會 有啲 乜嘢 特別 嘅 節目 呀 。 What are the special events that I will have in the summer?

其實 都 冇 乜 特別 節目 嘅 。

我 都 係 大部分 時間 會 上下 廣東話 課 啦 。 I spend most of my time going to and from Cantonese class.

咁 另外 , 堂 與 堂 之間 , 如果 有 啲 空檔 呀 。 In addition, if there are some gaps between the chambers, then there are some gaps between the chambers.

會 出去 散 下 步 呀 。 I will go out for a walk. 睇 下 戲 呀 。咁 樣 啦 。

我 話 睇戲 係 喺 屋企 睇 Netflix 呀 。 I say I watch movies on Netflix in my house.

或者 睇 YouTube 呀 。

咁 太 客氣, 睇下 啲 YouTube 片 呀, 咁樣。 It's too easy, just watch some YouTube videos.

咁 其實 都 想 呢個 暑假 呢 可以 Actually, I'd like to spend my summer vacation here.

做 多啲 嘢 嘅, 咁 呀 Do more things, so on! 其中 一樣 呢 , 我 係 希望 可以 學 下 呢個 Likewise, I hope I can learn how to do this.

西班牙文 呀 。西班牙話 呀 , 西班牙文 呀 , for Spanish.

西班牙文 ? 西班牙話 ? 咁 呀, Spanish ? Spanish? So, so, so, so.

以前 我 都 有 用 一個 Apps 自己 自學 嘅 。

Self learning, 自學 咁 樣 。

但係 又 停 咗 。 But it stopped again. 冇 學 一排 啦 。 I don't have a row to learn.

咁 我 希望 呢 到 暑假 睇 下 可 唔 可以 重拾 I hope that this summer we can see if we can get back into the swing of things.

都 每日 可以 學 少少 西班牙文 啦 。

講真 呢 我 就 唔係 話 太 有興趣 學 西班牙文 嘅 。 To be honest, I am not too interested in learning Spanish.

只不過 呢 係, 住 喺 猶他州 呢 好多 人 都 係 講 西班牙文 。 In Utah, however, many people speak Spanish.

咁 我 就 諗 下 不如 都 學 少少 同 人 溝通 啦 。 Then, I think it would be better for me to learn how to communicate less with others.

咁樣, 都 有 呢個 實際 嘅 需要 。 所以 學 咁 樣 。

一個 主題 喺 我 心 裏面 呢 。 想 講下 香港 呀 。

咁 呀 最近 呢 你 知唔知 香港 有 一個 新 嘅 朵 。 So, do you know that there is a new Doo Doo in Hong Kong recently?

我 覺得 呢 個 朵 嘅 意思 係 一個 新 嘅 稱號 。

或者 一個 new title, new name for Hong Kong。新 嘅 朵 。

呢 個 朵 呢 就 犀利 啦 。 The case of Dodo is very sharp.

國際 大都會 。 International Metropolis.

但 呢 個 呢 國際 啦 國際 international 啦 But what about the internationalization of the internationalization of the internationalization of the internationalization of the internationalization of the internationalization of the internationalization of the internationalization of the world?

斬 in Cantonese it means chop, to chop, chopping people, use the knife to chop people to hurt people in the street

咁 喺 香港 都 幾多 呢 情況 斬 人 啦 。

兩個 禮拜 前 呀, 咁 喺 一個 商場 入面

就 有 一個 有 精神病 嘅 人

精神病 mental illness, someone with mental illness

咁 佢 呢 就 用 一 把 十二 寸 長 嘅 魚生 刀

咁 就 喺 商場 入面 呢 就 殺 咗 兩個 Then two people were killed in the shopping mall.

呢 件 事 呢 就 轟動 咗 香港人 This incident has shocked Hong Kong people.

行 行下 街 竟然 呢 就 俾 人 用 一 把 I can't believe I'm being treated like this.

咁 長 嘅 刀 襲擊 喎 咁 呢 兩個 Two long knives attacked me.

後生 女 呢 就 非常之 不幸

so unfortunate 好 不幸 , 咁 呢 就 死 咗

咁 其實 呢 個 都 唔係 話 得 呢 一 單 新聞 In fact, this is not a single news item.

之前 呢 都 有 一啲 嘅 新聞 呢 There were some news before that.

啲 人 會 用 刀 斬 人 呀, 咁樣 Some people will chop people with knives, like this.

所以 都 好 驚 呀, 咁樣

香港 呢, 所以 就 有 一個 新 嘅 稱號

叫做 國際 大都會 咁 呢 個 都

我 就 咁 聽 我 都 有 點 擔心 香港 係 好多 人 呀 I'm so worried that there are so many people in Hong Kong.

好 密集 嘅 一個 地方 It's a dense place.

如果 真係 有人 用 刀 嘅 話 呢 What if someone really uses a knife?

係 , 真係 好 危險 呀

要 去 走 , 去 避 , to escape, to run, 去 走 去 避

其實 真係 都 唔係 話 好 容易 因為 太多 人

所以 我 就, 嘩! 呢 一 單 新聞 聽 完 之後 So I was like, "Wow! After listening to the news.

我 就 話 真係 大家 喺 條 街 嗰度 喺 香港 住 嘅 人 啊 I mean, you're really the people who live over there in Hong Kong, aren't you?

真係 聽 住 唔好 喺 條 街 到 玩 手機 I can't hear you playing with your cell phone on the street.

或者 塞住 耳仔 聽 音樂 Or listen to music with your ears plugged in.

唔好 淨係 戴 住 耳機 聽 音樂

或者 淨係 成日 睇 住 部 電話 Or maybe it's just watching the home phone all the time.

真係 要 呢 睇 下 四周 surroundings

要 小心 因為 你 唔知 會 突然 間 發生 啲 咩 事 要 非常之 留神 Be careful, because you don't know what's going to happen all of a sudden, and you need to keep a very close eye on things.

其實 喺 香港 呢, 我 以前 呢, 一 上 一啲 公共 交通工具 In fact, in Hong Kong, I used to go on public transportation.

一啲 public transport 一啲 公共 交通工具

譬如 坐 巴士 呀, 咁 我 都 會 瞓覺

或者 其實 係 好多 巴士 上面 Or actually, on a lot of buses.

或者 係 地鐵 上面 好多 人 都 會 Or on the subway. A lot of people do.

一係 呢 就 撳 手機 一係 呢 就 瞓覺 All you have to do is push your phone, and all you have to do is sleep.

so either people will just sleep or playing their phone on the bus or in the MTR

咁 啲 人 一係 就 撳 手機 一係 就 瞓覺

咁 但係 呢 而家 就 唔同 以前 呀

咁 呀 如果 而家 我 仲 住 喺 香港 呢 Well, if I live in Hong Kong, then I'm not going to be in Hong Kong.

真係 唔 可以 喺 個 車 到 瞓覺 睇 眼瞓 呀 You can't sleep in the car and look at your eyes.

亦都 唔好 呢 淨係 喺 個 車 入面 呢 It's not a good idea to be in a car.

喺度 玩 手機 真係 要 睇 下 側邊 嘅 人 You have to look at the person next to you when you play with your cell phone here.

係 , 有啲 乜嘢 嘢 嘅 時候 Yes, there are times when there are so and so

好 快 去 反應 , 要 去 react, 反應 ,

去 react immediately 要 即刻 去 反應

好似 好 誇張 , 咁 呀

但係 而家 香港 嘅 生活 就 係 咁

is the new life in Hong Kong, yes, really have to be, like that

真係 要 咁 樣 做 安全 好 緊要

咁呀, 我 就 冇 返去 香港 都 差唔多 四 年 三 年 半 冇 返去 香港 So, I haven't been back to Hong Kong for almost four, three and a half years.

講真 都 有啲 驚 我 諗 我 唔 慣 咁 多 人 我 返到 去 香港 To be frank, it is a bit shocking. I think I am not used to so many people when I go to Hong Kong.

成 條 街 都 係 人 啊 , 坐車 周圍 都 係 人 呢

我 都 會 有 有 少少 壓力 呀

I will feel a little bit stressful, so many people around me

咁 多 人 喺 我 四圍 咁樣 都 會 有啲 壓力

係 啦 , 咁 呀 , 總之 大家 都 要 小心 啦

香港 呢 就 冇 窗 嘅 Hong Kong has no windows

係 啦 窗 係 guns, 冇 窗

但 啲 人 可以 帶 刀 出街

people can just bring knives or other, don't know, other sharp things, or weapon

一啲 尖 嘅 嘢 或者 一啲 武器 咁 你 唔 知

亦都 係 經過 個 pandemic 經過 個 疫情 呀

多 咗 好多 人 嗰個 精神 有 問題 喇 So many more people, that one has a mental problem.

精神 有 問題 mentally ill.

有 精神 嘅 問題 嘅 人 啊, 都 係 多 咗 嘅, 咁樣 People with mental problems are many, like this.

所以 喺 街 度 行 喇, 大家 就 小心 啦

都 希望 政府 係 都 有啲 方法 We all hope that the Government will have some methods to deal with the problem.

或者 多啲 嘅 資源 resource, resources

有 多啲 資源 可以 俾 到 市民 How many resources are available to the public?

俾 到 一啲 特別 係 精神病 人

可以 有 多啲 嘅 支援 support, 俾 到 佢哋 啦 , 咁樣

but to say youth or teenagers in Cantonese

we can say 年青人 , 年青人

兩個 禮拜 前 有 兩個 後生 女

行 商場 個陣 遇到 一個 精神病人

嗰個 精神病人 用 一 把 長 刀 殺 咗 佢哋

Killed them, 殺 咗 佢哋

very unfortunate, 好 唔 好彩 , 好 唔 好彩

So 唔 好彩 , unfortunate

好彩 fortunate

Or unfortunate we can also say 不幸 , 好 不幸

佢哋 好 不幸 to encounter, to meet

嗰 兩個 女仔 好 唔 好彩 遇到 個 精神病人

希望 政府 可以 畀 多啲 資源

So hope that the government can put in more resources
