阿女 又 上 台 攞獎 喇 。 My daughter won a prize on stage. 佢 打扮 得 好 靚 ， 喺 台上 講 緊 得獎 感受 。 佢 啲 朋友仔 坐 喺 我 隔籬 幫 佢 影相 ， 有 個 仲 話 陣間 要 同 佢 一齊 打卡 。 Some of her friends were sitting in my neighborhood taking pictures of her, and one of them said she wanted to join her for a while.

有 邊個 估 到 依家 企 喺 台上 嗰個 靚女 ， 細個 嗰陣 係 一 嚿 忟薑 嚟 嘅 呢 ？ Did anyone else realize that the girl on the stage was a big girl on the stage, and that she was a big guy on the other side?

我 仲 記得 佢 九 歲 生日 嗰日 ， 我 專登 請假 、 踩 單車 去 接 佢 放學 ， 點知 佢 一 望 到 我 就 鼓 埋 泡腮 ， 忟忟憎憎 噉 。 I remember that on his ninth birthday, I took the day off work and pedaled to pick him up from school, but when he saw me, he got all puffy and grumpy.

嗰陣 我 指 住 天空 同 阿女 講 ： 「 你 睇 下 ， 太陽伯伯 知道 你 今日 生日 ， 特登 幫 天空 變 到 咁 藍 嚟 氹 你 開心 ！ Over there, I pointed at the sky and said to my daughter, "Look, Uncle Sun knows it's your birthday and he has made the sky so blue to make you happy! 睇 下 個 天空 幾 靚 ？ 」

阿女 聽 完 ， 竟然 對住 天空 大 鬧 ： 「 一 嚿 雲 都 冇 ， 想 曬 死 我 咩 ！ After hearing this, the girl yelled at the sky, "Not a single cloud, do you want to kill me under the sun? 係咪 連 個 天 都 唔鍾意 我 ？ 」 Is it possible that you don't like me even for one day? I don't know.

真係 唔 知 阿女 發生 咩 事 咁 嬲爆爆 ！ I don't know what she is so angry about! 好彩 我 嗰 日 早 有 準備 ， 拎 咗 佢 最 鍾意 食 嘅 茶點 出嚟 。 Fortunately, I had prepared for that day and brought out her favorite refreshments. 我 問 ： 「 係咪 有 人 蝦 我 個 女 呀 ？ 」 I asked, "Does anyone have a girlfriend? I asked, "Do you have a woman?"

阿女 見到 有 嘢 食 ， 心情 至 好 返 少少 。 When the girl sees that she has something to eat, she feels very good. 佢 皺起 眉頭 話 ： 「 冇 人 蝦 我 。 」 She frowned and said, "Nobody shrimps me. I'm sorry."

「 係 今日 默書 ， 我 明明 温 得 好 熟 ， 但係 之後 睇 返 本 書 ， 先 知 自己 倒轉 咗 啲 字 嚟 寫 。 "Today, I was very familiar with the mimeograph, but when I looked at the book, I realized that I had reversed some of the words. 點解 我 寫 極 都 寫 唔 啱 隻 字 ？ 」 Why can't I write with just one word? "¡Ó

我 話 ： 「 噉 返學 唔係 淨係 得 默書 嘅 —— 不如 我哋 試 下 其他 嘢 ？ 」 I said, "We don't just have to write silently when we go back to school -- why don't we try something else? "¡Ó

阿女 話 ： 「 你 唔怕 我 成績 差 ， 讀書 唔成 咩 ？ My daughter said, "Aren't you afraid that I'll get bad grades and fail in school? 爺爺 話 過 ， 想 我 讀 好 啲 書 ， 第時 可以 揸筆 揾食 。 」 Grandpa said he wanted me to read well so I could hold a pen for food. I'll be able to get some money."

我 聽 完 得啖笑 ， 就 隨手 拎起 啲 顏色筆 ， 話 ： 「 傻妹 ， 係 揸 都 揸 呢啲 筆 先 啦 。 」 I laughed when I heard that and picked up some color pens and said, "Silly girl, you have to hold these pens first. I said, "Silly girl, you have to hold the pens first."

阿女 一 開始 就 揀 咗 佢 最 鍾意 嘅 紅色 。 At the outset, the girl picked the red color she liked best. 佢 話 ： 「 今日 數學堂 ， 老師 教 咗 我哋 咩 叫 立方體 …… 」 He said, "Today in math class, the teacher taught us what a cube is called. ......."

佢 一路 講 ， 一路 用 畫筆 畫 咗 個 好 四正 嘅 長方體 出嚟 。 As he talked, he drew a rectangular shape with a brush. 佢 冇 用 間尺 ， 徒手 就 畫 到 好 直 嘅 線 。 He drew a straight line by hand without using a ruler.

佢 話 要 跟 彩虹 顏色 嘅 次序 嚟 畫 ， 所以 第 二 支 就 揀 咗 橙色 。 He wanted to paint in the order of the rainbow colors, so he chose orange for the second one.

「 老師 問 我哋 ， 有冇 圓形 球體 嘅 例子 。 "The teacher asked us if there were any examples of round spheres. 我 即刻 舉手 ， 話 平時 食 開 嘅 橙 就 係 啦 ！ 」 I'm raising my hand right now, and I'm saying that the oranges that I normally eat are the ones that I'm going to eat! "¡Ó

佢 又 畫 一 個 圓形 ， 喺 上面 點 咗 好多 密密麻麻 嘅 細點 ， 好似 一 個 真 嘅 橙 ！ She also drew a circle, on which she drew densely-packed dots that looked like a real orange!

畫 到 最後 ， 阿女 揀 咗 紫色 。 At the end of the painting, the girl chose the color purple. 佢 話 ： 「 老師 叫 我哋 用 啲 想像力 ， 將 頭先 講 過 嘅 例子 串 做 一 個 故事 ， 用嚟 交 堂課 。 She said, "The teacher told us to use our imagination to make a story out of the examples we had given earlier and use it to deliver the lesson. 我 畫 咗 一 個 長方形 嘅 窗 ， 有 隻 雀仔 喺 出面 飛 入嚟 ， 偷偷 哋 擔 走 個 橙 。 」 I drew a rectangular window and a finch flew in and stole an orange. The window was painted.

我 見 阿女 揸 住 畫筆 ， 有 返 晒 心機 ， 就 鼓勵 佢 繼續 諗 多 啲 故事 ， 再 畫 出嚟 。 When I saw that my daughter was holding the brush and had a good mind, I encouraged her to continue to think about some more stories and then draw them out.

阿女 話 ： 「 我 仲 諗到 好多 同 動物 有關 嘅 故事 ， 例如 青蛙 、 老鼠 、 貓狗 嗰啲 。 I also think of a lot of animal-related stories, such as frogs, mice, cats and dogs. 我 諗 住 等到 放假 就 一次過 畫 晒 佢哋 出嚟 …… 係 喎 ， 爸爸 ， 我 可 唔可以 要 一 份 生日 禮物 呀 ？ 」 I think I will paint them all at once when we are on vacation. ......喎，Dad，can I have a birthday present? Thank you.

我 梗係 話 好 。

阿女 開心 到 彈起 ： 「 好嘢 ！ 」 我 想 要 一 本 畫簿 啊 ！ I'd like to have a sketchbook!

我 冇 諗 到 ， 當日 我 隨手 拎 起 畫筆 遞 畀 阿女 ， 會 換嚟 依家 屋企 一 個 又 一 個 獎座 ！ I never imagined that I would be rewarded with trophy after trophy in my family's house when I casually handed over my paintbrush to my daughter!

其實 個個 小朋友 都 係 一 粒 原石 ， 只要 肯 用心 發掘 、 打磨 ， 佢哋 每 一 個 都 可以 發光發亮 ！ Every child is a rock, and if they are willing to dig for it and polish it, every one of them can shine!
