呢 個 係 卡麗。 This is Carrie. 佢 今年 七歲。 She is seven years old. 喺 肯雅 嘅 當地 方言 入面 ，呢 個 名 係 「好人 」嘅 意思。 In the local dialect of Kenya, the name means "good man".

卡麗 朝頭早 瞓醒 ，同 棵 橙樹 講 ：「橙樹 吖 ，唔該 你 快 高 長大 啦 ，生 啲 又 大 又 甜 嘅 橙 俾 我哋！ Carrie woke up early in the morning and said to the orange tree, "Orange tree, why don't you grow up so fast, give us big, sweet oranges!」

喺 卡 麗 行路 返 學 嘅 路上 佢 就 同 草地 講 ：「草地 吖 ，唔 該 你 一定 要 生 綠 啲 ，唔好 枯乾 晒 吖。」 On the way back to school, Carrie said to Grassland: "Grassland, why don't you have to grow greener, so that it doesn't dry out in the sun."

卡麗 路過 啲 野花 ，佢 就 同 啲 野花 講 ：「野花 吖 ，唔 該 你哋 一路 開花 唔 好 停 啦 ，等 我 可以 將你 放 喺 頭 上面。」 Carrie passed by some wild flowers, and she said to them: "Wild flowers, you shouldn't stop blooming all the way, wait until I can put you on my head."

喺 學校 度 ，卡麗同 操場 中間 嘅 小樹 就 話 ：「小樹 吖 ，唔 該 你 生 多啲 又 粗 又 大 嘅 樹枝 啦 ，噉 我哋 就 可以 喺 樹蔭 中 讀書 啦。」 At school, Carrie said to the little tree in the middle of the playground, "Little tree, why don't you grow more thick and big branches, so we can read in the shade."

卡麗仲同 學校 左近 嘅 灌木叢 就 話 ：「灌木 吖 ，唔 該 你哋 生 得 強壯 啲 ，噉 啲 衰人 就 唔 入 到 嚟 學校 啦。」 Carlisle said to the bushes near the school: "Shrubs, you shouldn't be stronger, so those weak people won't be able to enter the school."

當卡麗 由 學校 返到 屋企 ，佢 又 去 睇 吓 棵 橙樹 ，問 佢 話 ：「你 啲 橙 熟 未 呀？」 When Carrie returned home from school, she went to look at an orange tree and asked her, "Are your oranges ripe?

卡麗 唉聲嘆氣 噉 話 ：「啲 橙 仔 仲係 綠色 嘅 ，我 聽日 再 嚟 睇吓 你 啦！ Carrie sighed and said: "Those oranges are still green, I'll come back someday to scare you! 或者 聽日 你 就 會 俾 隻 又 熟 又 甜 嘅 橙 我 嘞！」 Or one day you'll just give me a ripe and sweet orange!
