Why are the rights of trans women under assault?

So let me start with saying that trans women experience violence four times more likely

than cisgender people.

Particularly trans women of color and black trans women are hit hard because of the intersectional

dimension of gender-based violence and violence against women.

We need solutions from all of society, like adequate protection systems in place, laws

and policies, institutions that are informed and aware and services that are inclusive

of trans women.

You, as an individual, can also do your part by evaluating your stereotypes and behaviors

and working towards abolishing any harmful attitudes you may have against trans women.

We can all do our part in contributing to ending violence against trans people.
