The Ugly Duckling

It is a story about changing as we grow.
Baby ducks are ducklings.
This duckling is ugly.
The ugly duckling's mother loves it.
The ugly duckling's brothers and sisters don't love it.
The ugly duckling is sad.
One day, the ugly duckling flies away.
The ugly duckling sees a man with big dogs!
The ugly duckling is afraid.
Then the ugly duckling sees a house.
An old woman lives there.
The ugly duckling lives with the old woman, a cat, and a chicken for some time.
But he wants to swim in the river.
Then winter comes.
The ugly duckling goes to swim in the river.
It can't get out of the ice!
A man helps the ugly duckling.
He takes the ugly duckling home.
The man likes the ugly duckling.
But the man's family does not like the ugly duckling.
They make it go away.
The ugly duckling is cold and hungry all winter long.
It is very sad.
Then spring comes.
The ugly duckling sees some beautiful birds.
They are swans.
The swans swim near him.
"I know I am ugly," he says to the swans.
"I will go away."
"You are not ugly," says a girl swan.
"I think you look very nice. Don't go away."
The girl swan says, "Live here with us."
The ugly duckling is not sad now.
He is very happy!
