The Two Pots

This story is by the Greek writer Aesop.

This story teaches us about friends.

Some pots are strong.

Some pots are weak.

There are two pots.

They have a nice home.

One day, a flood comes.

The water takes the two pots away.

The pots are together in the water.

One pot is strong.

One pot is weak.

"This is fun!" says the strong pot.

"Be careful! Don't break me!" says the weak pot.

"Do you want to be my friend?" asks the strong pot.

"No!" says the weak pot.

"But I'm fun! And I'm nice!" says the strong pot.

"You are not careful! You will break me! I am not strong like you," says the weak pot.

The strong pot is sad.

He wants to be friends with the weak pot.

But the weak pot knows something.

The strong make good friends for the strong.

They are good together.

The weak make good friends for the weak.

They are careful when they are together.
