Hello, this is Jack from tofluency.com, and in this English lesson we're going to look at the phrasal verb drop someone off - and I used this in video that I posted on Facebook and on Google plus so let's have a look at this short video.

Hello everybody this is Jack from “To Fluency” - I have just dropped off my son at daycare.

In the video I said: “I have just dropped off my son at daycare” - so this means that I took my son to daycare in the car and left him there.

Now, when we use the present perfect with just - I have just dropped off my son - then this means it happened very recently.

Now, let's have a look at some other examples using this phrasal verb:

My dad used to drop me off at school - so, this means in the past my dad dropped me off at school.

Here is an example of what you might say in a taxi - Could you drop me off at the station?

Now my question for you in this video is: Have you dropped someone off somewhere recently?
