The big car boot sale

Every Saturday morning, there is a big car boot sale in Saltcoats. It opens at 9 o'clock and it closes at 2 or 3 o'clock.

Last Saturday, Eileen, Jackie and Lynn went shopping at the car boot sale. It was sunny and cloudy and raining.

Everybody took their shopping trolleys. They wore jackets and jumpers and boots. They took umbrellas.

The car boot sale was busy. There were lots of people. There were good bargains. It was cheap. There were good buys. The shoes were buy one, get one free.

Eileen bought vegetables. She bought tomatoes and potatoes for her family. Sometimes she buys tools for the home and garden. Jackie bought fresh fruit. She bought strawberries, bananas, grapes, and apples. She didn't buy secondhand clothes. Lynn bought a box of tomatoes, vegetables and garden equipment. She also bought a bracelet and some antiques. They were very very cheap.

They finished shopping at 2 or 3 o'clock. Their trolleys were full of good bargains. Jackie went home on the bus. Eileen went home in the car. Lynn went home in the car.
