Story 9. Karen Had a Cold—1
Karen felt so tired one morning.
She didn't want to wake up.
Her mother touched her head and said, “Karen, you are so hot.”
“You have a fever.”
“You will not go to school today.”
Karen was happy.
She could stay home with her mom.
It would be a fun day at home.
Then her mom took out a pill.
She said, “This pill will help you break the fever.”
“Uh-oh.”
“That's a fever.”
