CEFR A1 - 2 - Sarah's Superhero Shopping Adventure
Sarah puts on her lucky blue bracelet and smiles at her best friend Amy. "Let's go to the store!" she says. Amy nods, her eyes bright with excitement.
The two girls step outside. Sarah's curly black hair bounces as she walks. "We're superheroes today," Sarah whispers. Amy giggles and nods.
At the store, they see many colorful fruits and vegetables. An old lady looks up at a high shelf. She can't reach the cereal box.
Sarah says, "We can help!" The girls carefully climb and get the item. The old lady smiles. "Thank you, little heroes," she says.
The store manager comes over. "Well done, girls," he says. Sarah and Amy feel proud.
Next, they look for Dad's favorite cookies. Sarah points to a far shelf. "The cookies are in a castle," she says. Amy understands the game.
They tiptoe past a big stack of boxes. "Shh," Sarah whispers. "That's the dragon." They get the cookies and cheer quietly.
On the way home, dark clouds appear. It starts to rain. Sarah doesn't like storms, but Amy holds her hand. "It's okay," Amy says. They laugh and jump in puddles.
At home, Dad is happy with the cookies. "How was your trip?" he asks.
Sarah looks at Amy and grins. "It was an adventure!" she says. Sarah thinks, "Being a real-life hero is fun too!"
