Short Travel Stories - Learn English with Camille, Upgrade to Business Class

Upgrade to Business Class

We were in the Kona, Hawaii airport, seven friends trying to depart to Sweden. When we tried to check in, the travel agent told us,“Your flight doesn't exist.” “What do you mean, doesn't exist? !” we asked perplexed. We had our flight confirmation papers with us. We were departing on a mission trip, and so our school leader came to the airport to try to help us, because we didn't know what to do. The good news is our leader is very smooth at talking with people. “Okay guys, you have to wait here for a few more hours, but I got you all upgraded to business class on a new flight,” he told us. We were stoked, because none of us had ever flown business class before. We had an 11 hour flight to Frankfurt. Our seats laid all the way back, but I was so excited that I watched like 4 movies while enjoying so many free snacks and meals, and hot washcloths for my face. I have never flown business class again, but wow, it's hard to go back to economy class once you know how much nicer it is. Some people have the life!
