Episode 7 - Jean Grenier, Paul Valéry - Part 5
When you get here, the future is indolence
Clean insects scrape dryness
Everything is burned and dismantled, in the atmosphere
Absorbed in a solemn spirit that you may not know.
Life is drunk in absence, no guy
The hard work is sweet, the spirit is clear.
The hidden lions are now in this earth
The earth warms the lions and dries out their mysteries.
Noon in the high sky, noon
Thinking of yourself in yourself and conforming to yourself
Perfect brain, perfect crown
I am a secret change within you.
I'm the only one holding back your fear
My repentance, my suspicion, my bondage
All are flaws in your great diamond
But in the night of lions heavily crushed by marble
The hazy people wrapped around tree
I have already gradually become on your side
The lions were dissolved in the thick absence
Red mud devoured the white race
The natural power of living has passed into the flower
Where are the intimate languages of the lions
Unique technology, unusual soul
The caterpillar crawls where the tears sprang
Tickle girls' sharp shouts
Eyes, teeth, tears, wet eyes
Fire and teasing pretty breasts
The blood that shines on my surrendering lips
Last gift, fingers trying to protect it
All of this goes under the ground and returns to action.
Also, darling soul, do you want
Waves and gold in the eyes of the body
A fleeting dream without the color of this lie
Even when you’re trying to sing but you’re angry
Everything disappears, but my existence is punctured
Holy anxiety also disappears.
Skinny, gold-plated dark-blue immortality
Making death a mother's breast
A terribly monthly comforting woman
Beautiful lies and godly tricks
I don't know who it is, who will not deny it,
This empty skull and this eternal red cow
Ancestors lying under the ground, heads without inhabitants
Under the weight of a lot of dirt from a shovel
It becomes dirt and confuses our steps.
The truly gnawing one, the undeniable maggot
Not for you sleeping under the stone slabs in the cemetery.
Lives on life and never leaves me
Is it love for yourself or hate
The hidden teeth of the maggots are so close to me
Any name could suit you
Maggots see, want, dream and touch
My body is in his heart, I even on the bed
I belong to this creature and live
Xenon, cruel Xenon, Xenon of Elea
You have pierced me with an arrow
Vibrating, carrying and non-flying arrows
The sound of arrows begets me, and arrows kill me.
Sun...what a turtle's shadow
To the soul, Achilles who runs with big steps and doesn't move
In the continuing era
Break it down, my body, this thoughtful form
Drink, my heart, the birth of the wind
Fresh energy soars from the sea
Run in the waves and soar freshly
Daedae-yeo, who has been endowed with raging bullshit
Skin of Alongjin leopard, where the sun shines
A cloak with ten million illusions
I'm drunk with your deep blue flesh
In a law resembling silence
Hydra, biting your flashing tail and driving fiercely
I have to try to live
Strong Maparam opens and closes my book
Waves break into powder and come out firmly from the rocks.
Fly away, dazzling bookshelves all over
Break it, waves!
Break it with the running water
This quiet roof where sailboats were feeding
Yeah… Oh, reading me is also short of breath.
Ah… Long time, right?
It's a long, very intense flow of emotions, and this really makes sense a little bit more by drawing in my head the image of a graveyard on the beach under some southern sun.
And when I look at this poem, I am strangely thinking of deformities.
Hyung-Hyung is also a poet, but is it especially Jeongjo, who uses language at the beginning?
When I see something like this, I think of it.
Is it because they are similar, or is it the "vineyard cemetery"?
I don't know if it's because it reminds me of the poet's poem, but in some ways, it's a bit deformed.
There are some poems that come to mind.
Anyway, it's a poem that has a lot of influence on Korean poets.
There is someone I know (I will not reveal your name here.)
I'm a younger person, but in the past, I went hiking at Bukhansan Mountain with him, but when I went down to Bukhansan Mountain, there is a bathhouse in Gugi-dong.
The bath is an old bath, but the water is good.
It's a public bath where groundwater is pumped out and used, and when you go there to take a bath, he goes into a very hot bath.
You enter alone.
Go in and mumble.
You do, but what do you mutter on your own... So I asked.
“What do you mutter like that in the bath?” Then he came up with a method to recover this time, and you memorize Paul Valery's “Beach Cemetery” from start to finish.
He also does it in French.
He was a French student, so I memorize this poem in French.
(C) If you memorize it, it's time to go out.
In that bath... ...The splendid image of the "Beach Cemetery" and the bathhouse in Gugi-dong... It doesn't suit you well, but no one knows.
It's a French, a really beautiful French poem, a language that many poets still admire in France!
Say something like this.
Talking about shea, it sticks to her mouth, well, it is for you.
I'm going to laugh a bit now as I think about the scene where I can remember the poems of Paul Valery as my friend (instead of the southern sun) as my friend of the hot hot water (instead of the southern sun).
Anyway, is it a different utility of poetry?
When I was in college (I don't know why), I had no intention of becoming a novelist at that time (of course, I had no intention of becoming a poet.)
However, my house was in Jamsil.
While coming from Jamsil to Sinchon, I memorized one poem every morning.
You look at the poem at the beginning and memorize line by line, and memorize everything by the time you get off.
Later on, I thought that if there was a writing ability for me that I became a writer, it was probably because of the poems I memorized at that time.
So today, I looked around the Mediterranean Sea.
Jean Grenier's “Island” Starting with the “Island” of Jean Grenier, who taught philosophy at the University of Algiers, who was also the spiritual teacher of Albert Camus, you wrote a poem after seeing a cemetery on the coast of Provence.
