Story 23. The Key.
Mr. Smith and his wife were coming back from shopping.
Suddenly, Mr. Smith said, Oh my!
I can't find my keys.
Mrs. Smith started looking for the keys, but she couldn't find them either.
Is something wrong? asked their neighbour, Mr. Oriel.
We lost our keys, said Mr. Smith.
Mr. Oriel also joined the search for the missing keys.
But he didn't have any luck either.
After almost an hour of searching, Mr. Smith decided to break the lock on the door.
I have another lock you can use, said Mr. Oriel.
Soon, they broke the lock and put a new one on.
Here is the key for your new lock, said Mr. Oriel.
Thank you, said Mr. Smith.
I'll put it on my new keychain that I have on my belt.
Mrs. Smith and Mr. Oriel looked at him.
Oh my! said Mr. Smith.
I forgot that I put the key on my belt.
I had the key the whole time.
