08. English Phrases: Take a Break - Explanation and Examples.

Hello, this is Jack from tofluency.com, and in this video, we're going to learn the phrase, "take a break" - and I used this phrase in a video I made on social media, so let's take a look at that video now. “Hello, this is Jack from To Fluency. I'm currently taking a break from filing my taxes, and I feel exhausted. How are you feeling today? Let me know!”

So, in the video, I said, "I'm currently taking a break from filing my taxes" and this means that I stopped working to rest for a period of time. So to take a break means that you stop working or stop studying to rest for a certain period of time.

Here are some more examples:

"I've just started, I don't need to take a break yet." "I've just started, I don't need to take a break yet." "The guy in the picture is taking a break from studying." "The guy in the picture is taking a break from studying." So, I have a question for you now: What do you do when you take a break from working or studying?

So leave your answers below this video - thanks for watching, and see you next time.
