Journal [Speaking more]

I've been thinking recently that maybe I should start having more conversations in Japanese.

I've started thinking this way because I started to think about the reasons why I am learning Japanese.

Of course, part of that reason is to enjoy Japanese media and reading Japanese books and comics.

But I think the main reason is to connect with real Japanese people.

I don't necessarily think that practising speaking will help me acquire more language faster but...

I think if I have conversations in Japanese it may help Japanese feel like an actual language, not just a hobby.

If I have conversations with Japanese people in Japanese then I feel like Japanese becomes a much greater part of my life and...

Doing things like reading books and listening to music will be extra stimulating because I know that doing all that I will eventually be able to connect more deeply with people in conversations.

That's my ramble for today.
