Life in Manhattan

Hey! My name is Dave and I live with my girlfriend on the 10th floor of an apartment building in Manhattan. I work downtown at the New York stock exchange. I eat at all kinds of restaurants in the city. My girlfriend Sally loves sushi. Sally works as a fashion designer and she likes her work a lot. I often go to Central park. Sometimes Sally comes with me. I have a younger brother whose name is Brandon. He lives in Brooklyn. We both love to go to the movies. He often goes on trips to Long Island, and spends a lot of time at the beach. He knows his way around the city better than me. So I am always calling him when I'm in Brooklyn or Queens. We have a lot of friends with whom we spend time with at various bars and clubs in the city. They are a lot of fun and we hang out with them every weekend. You know that New York has some of the most famous places in the US. One great thing about life in New York is that I can see places like Times Square and the Brooklyn Bridge very easily. Me and Sally think we are very lucky to live in such a great city, but sometimes she wants to visit her family who lives in New Jersey and the traffic can make you wait a very long time on the highways. It is just part of life in a big city, and we know that's normal. Other than that you have all the opportunities in New York that you do not have in other places in the US. There are all kinds of work from fashion to technology to economics. Plus you can find so many places to go and things to do for fun like clubs, restaurants, theaters and museums! I hope everyone can see "The Big Apple" at least once in their life, because it truly is the city that never sleeps!
