Conversation #8 - Music

Jacob: Hey George, how's it going?

George: Hello Jacob, it's going well, thanks!

How are you? Jacob: Pretty good.

Next Friday I will be singing at an open mic night. Do you want to come? George: Yeah, sure.

What kind of music are you going to be singing? Jacob: Mostly just rock music.

A good friend of mine will be playing the acoustic guitar and I'll sing. George: That sounds like fun.

Where will it be? Jacob: It's going to be at "The Fried Potato".

George: At what time?

Jacob: Well, we should start playing at around 8:00 pm. Do you like rock music? George: Definitely.

I pretty much like all kinds of rock music. What are your favorite rock bands? Jacob: My favorite bands are "The Doors" and "Stone Temple Pilots".

George: That's an interesting combination.

A band from the sixties and a way more recent band. Jacob: True.

And I really like both of them for very different reasons. What are your favorite bands? George: I would say Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

Jacob: Great bands!

You have good taste. George: Thanks, Jacob!

I should get going but I'll see you next Friday to watch your show. Jacob: Sounds great!
