Conversation #4 - Do you speak other languages?

George: Jacob, do you speak other languages?

Jacob: I speak some Spanish.

However, I don't speak it well. George: That's nice!

Spanish is a beautiful language. Jacob: True.

Now, let me ask you this: Why do you have such a good accent in English? George: Well, I took a very good conversational English course, and I focused on developing good pronunciation.

Jacob: That's great.

You did a very good job. I wish I spoke Spanish as well as you speak English. George: Are you taking a Spanish course?

Jacob: Not right now, unfortunately I am too busy.

However, I took a Spanish course in college. George: I understand.

Did you enjoy the course? Jacob: I did, but I feel I didn't learn that much from it. George: Have you been to a Spanish speaking country?

Jacob: I have been to Mexico and I really like it.

I practiced some Spanish when I was there.
