01. Be Good At - Learn English Phrases: Meaning and Examples.

This is Jack from “tofluency.com”, and welcome to this English lesson where you are going to learn the phrase "be good at.

I'm going to show you a variety of ways that you can use this and I have a question for you at the end but first let's look at how I used this phrase on Instagram: "And I want to share something with you, but before I do, be aware that I'm not good at drawing.

In the video, I said, "Be aware that I'm not good at drawing.

Now, to be good at something means you can do something well. So, I can't draw well that's why I said I'm not good at drawing. Another thing to note here is that the start of the sentence I said "be aware" and this just means know.

Know I'm not good at drawing. Here's another example:

I'm good at playing football.

I'm good at playing football.

I'm terrible at playing the guitar.

I'm terrible at playing the guitar.

And here is a quote that I found which I think is really useful:

"My mom thinks I'm amazing at everything.
