I don't want to read

As we all know, reading is important in language learning.

But sometimes I just don't feel like reading.

Do you ever feel the same way?

I know I should be reading, but I'm just not very interested.

I think this might have something to do with not being able to find something that I am particulary interested in.

I guess this has something to do with my level.

In Japanese, I'm roughly lower intermediate.

This means that beginner content is too easy or really boring.

But then native level content is normally either way too difficult or just a bit too difficult for me.

Even if I bring a text into LingQ, if it's 30 percent new words, it's still kind of a struggle to read through and I don't normally have the motivation to work through a text with that much effort.

Maybe I need to come up with more creative ways of finding things that are interesting to read.

But right now I am not really sure what I should be doing.

So a lot of the time I end up watching YouTube videos or listening to music or watching Tv shows, etc.

I know that eventually if I just keep looking for more comics and books, and stuff, I will eventually find things that are interesting.

It just takes a little bit of effort, and sometimes I don't feel like doing it.

That's all I have to say.

Thanks for listening.
