CEFR A1 - 1 - Sarah's Kitten Adventure

Sarah wakes up excited for a new day of adventure. She puts on her lucky blue bracelet and looks out the window. The sun is shining, and she can't wait to play outside.

"Dad, I'm going to meet Amy!" Sarah calls out.

"Okay, honey. Be careful and have fun!" her dad replies.

Sarah runs to the park where Amy is waiting. The two best friends start playing on the swings.

Suddenly, they hear a soft sound. "Meow!"

"Did you hear that?" Sarah asks.

Amy nods. "It came from the bush!"

They walk to the bush and find a small, gray kitten. It looks scared.

"Oh, poor kitty," Sarah says. "We need to help it!"

Sarah's eyes light up. "I know! We can be superheroes and save the kitten!"

"Great idea!" Amy agrees.

Sarah strikes a pose. "I'm Super Sarah! And you're Amazing Amy!"

The girls giggle and start their mission. They walk around the neighborhood, showing people Sarah's drawing of the kitten.

"Have you seen this kitten?" they ask everyone they meet.

Many people shake their heads, but they all smile at the kind girls.

After a while, they see an old lady in her garden.

"Excuse me," Sarah says politely. "Do you know this kitten?"

The old lady looks at the drawing and smiles. "Why, that's little Whiskers! He ran away yesterday. Thank you for finding him!"

Sarah and Amy cheer. They follow the old lady to her house and give her the kitten.

"You girls are very kind," the lady says. "Would you like some cookies?"

"Yes, please!" they both say.

As they eat cookies, Sarah tells the lady about their superhero adventure.

Later, Sarah goes home and tells her dad everything.

"I'm proud of you, Sarah," her dad says, giving her a hug.

Sarah goes to bed happy, dreaming of her next big adventure.
