Story 28. Changing Leaves
In the fall, green leaves change their colour.
The green in the leaves turns sunlight into food for the tree.
As the days get shorter and cooler, the leaves stop making food and the green fades away.
The leaves turn yellow, orange, red, purple or brown.
Look at the pretty colours.
But hurry, soon the wind will blow the leaves away.
The leaves are beautiful!
