The Breakdown
I was driving to Stevenston when the breakdown happened.
Joanna and I had a meeting. We were driving in my car on the A737, near Lochwinnoch.
At the roundabout, my car engine made a funny noise. Suddenly, the engine stopped completely.
I saw a layby and put my car there.
I phoned my breakdown cover company. I paid £30 and then they asked me some questions:
Where are you?
What happened?
When did the breakdown happen?
What is the make and model of your car?
What is the car number plate?
After an hour, a truck arrived. The mechanic looked at the engine. He took the car to my local garage. Joanna and I phoned Allison. She came to pick us up.
As for the car, it was bad news. It was dead. I had to buy a new car.
