A Trip to the Cinema

Ann is taking her daughter Kirsty to the cinema today in Kilmarnock because it's her birthday. She asks her neighbour Amal if she would like to go with them and bring her kids too.

Amal wants to go but her son Mohammed has an appointment at the dentist at 10.00. Ann says that it's ok because they are not leaving until 12.00, so there is plenty of time. They are going to have lunch in the café next to the cinema first.

Amal asks Ann if the café has halal food but Ann doesn't know. They look at the menu online and the café has halal kebabs and pizza. Everyone can eat lunch.

Amal wants to buy a wee birthday gift for Kirsty but Ann says "don't worry, you can buy her an ice cream or popcorn instead at the cinema".

They get on the bus together at 12.00. They are all excited to have lunch together and see the new Disney film.
