(00:00:30) 台灣 常常 被 稱為 亞洲 對 LGBT 最 友善 的 國家 ， 每年 十月 都 會 有 很多 台灣 人 甚至 很多 外國人 來 參加 台北 的 同志 大 遊行 gay pride。 而且 不管 是 流行 文化 、 社會 運動 、 或是 法律 制度 ， 我 覺得 台灣 越來越 朝著 一個 接受 LGBT 或是 支持 LGBT 的 方向 發展 。 (00:01:02) 我們 常常 可以 看到 很多 人 不管 他們 自己 是不是 LGBT 都 會 為 了 LGBT 的 權益 站 出來 發聲 ， 我 自己 還有 身邊 的 朋友 也 至少 都 參加 過 同志 大 遊行 。 (00:01:02) We can often see that many people stand up for LGBT rights regardless of whether they are LGBT or not. I myself and my friends have at least participated in the gay parade. 然後 之前 台灣 在 推動 婚姻 平權 marriage equality 的 時候 ， 我 身邊 的 朋友 也 幾乎 都 把 臉書 的 大頭貼 換成 彩虹 色 的 照片 來 表示 支持 。 Then when Taiwan was promoting marriage equality, almost all my friends around me changed their Facebook profile pictures to rainbow-colored photos to express their support. 我 覺得 台灣 對 LGBT 的 態度 真的 有 越來越 好 的 傾向 。 I think Taiwan's attitude towards LGBT is really getting better and better.

致力於 爭取 同志 權益 的 祁家威 Qi Jiawei, who is committed to fighting for the rights and interests of gays

(00:01:42) 其實 台灣 跟 其他 國家 一樣 也 不是 一 開始 就 很 可以 接受 LGBT 族群 ， 台灣 也 是 經過 很多 人 的 奮鬥 跟 努力 才 有 現在 的 成果 。 (00:01:42) In fact, Taiwan, like other countries, is not very accepting of LGBT people from the beginning. Taiwan has also achieved the present results through the struggle and hard work of many people. 其中 最具 代表性 的 人物 是 祁家威 ， 他 從 80 年代 就 開始 幫 同性戀 爭取 權益 ， 而且 還 被 稱為 「 台灣 第一 位 公開 出櫃 的 男同志 」， 出櫃 的 意思 就是 英文 的 come out， 就是 跟 別人 說 你 屬於 LGBT 族群 。 (00:02:22) 祁家威 可以 在 一個 還 很 保守 的 年代 就 出櫃 ， 還 到處 幫 同性戀 爭取 權益 ， 我 覺得 真的 很 不 簡單 而且 需要 很大 的 勇氣 。 (00:02:22) Qi Jiawei was able to come out of the closet in a very conservative era, and he went around to fight for the rights of gays. 被 拿來 紀念 的 玫瑰 少年 葉永鋕 和 《 性別 平等 教育 法 》 The rose boy Ye Yongtiao and the "Gender Equality Education Law" were used to commemorate

(00:02:58) 2000 年 的 時候 有 一個 國中生 叫做 葉永鋕 。 有 一天 他 在 上課 時間 去 上 廁所 就 再也 沒有 回來 上課 了 。 One day he went to the bathroom during class time and never came back to class. 後來 他 才 在 廁所 被 發現 ， 他 的 人 倒 在 一灘 血 裡面 ， 之後 被 送 去 醫院 還是 沒有 辦法 被 救 起來 ， 最後 他 還是 過世 了 。 Later, he was found in the toilet. His man was in a pool of blood. After being sent to the hospital, he could not be rescued. In the end, he passed away. 事後 才 發現 他 其實 因為 他 的 性別 氣質 而 變成 被 同學 霸凌 的 對象 ， 他 常常 被 笑 很 娘 、 常常 被 脫褲子 為 了 檢查 他 是不是 男生 。 Only later did he find out that he was actually the target of bullying by his classmates because of his gender temperament. He was often laughed at and took off his pants to check if he was a boy.

(00:03:41) 因為 這個 事件 ， 有些 人 就 在 想 如果 台灣 當時 有 在 推動 性別 教育 或是 多元 性別 的 概念 ， 這種 悲劇 是不是 就 不會 發生 了 ？ (00:03:41) Because of this incident, some people wondered if Taiwan had promoted gender education or the concept of gender diversity, would this tragedy not have happened? 如果 沒有 人會 因為 自己 的 性別 氣質 跟 別人 不 一樣 而 被 欺負 ， 是不是 就 可以 避免 更 多 這種 悲劇 ？ If no one will be bullied because their gender is different from others, can we avoid more tragedies like this? (00:04:05) 那 最後 在 這個 事件 發生 四 年 後 ， 台灣 在 2004 年 通過 了 《 性別 平等 教育 法 》。 (00:04:05) And finally, four years after this incident, Taiwan passed the Gender Equality Education Act in 2004. 《 性別 平等 教育 法 》 就是 規定 學校 要 尊重 、 要 保護 多元 性別 ， 同時 也 要 推動 性別 教育 。 The Gender Equality Education Law stipulates that schools must respect and protect gender diversity, and at the same time promote gender education. 另外 ， 葉永鋕 到 現在 也 很常 在 同志 運動 被 提起 ， 被 拿來 當作 一個 象徵性 的 人物 來 紀念 。 In addition, Ye Yongrong is often mentioned in the gay movement and is used as a symbolic figure to commemorate. 前 幾年 台灣 的 歌手 蔡依林 推出 一首 叫做 《 玫瑰 少年 》 的 歌 ， 這 首歌 就是 在 講 葉永鋕 ， 蔡依林 也 用 這 首歌 表達 對 同志 運動 的 支持 ， 你 有 興趣 可以 去 聽聽看 喔 ！

(00:04:55) 其實 我 在 做 這集 之前 又 重看 了 幾個 相關 的 紀錄片 ， 我 真的 是 哭 得 要死 ， 而且 很 有 共鳴 。 (00:04:55) Actually, I re-watched several related documentaries before doing this episode, and I really cried to death, and it resonates very much. 我 在 上 一集 有 講過 我 從小到大 常常 因為 自己 的 性別 氣質 比較 陰柔 所以 被 嘲笑 被 欺負 ， 幸好 我 生長 的 環境 相對來說 比較 友善 ， 所以 我 最後 還是 很 幸運 的 可以 快快樂樂 的 長大 。 I said in the last episode that I was often ridiculed and bullied because of my feminine gender since I was a child. Fortunately, the environment where I grew up was relatively friendly, so I was very lucky to grow up happily . 但是 我 看到 葉永鋕 的 故事 就 常常 想 如果 自己 沒有 那麼 幸運 的話 ， 如果 自己 是 活 在 另 一個 時空 背景 的話 ， 是不是 很 可能 會 遇上 跟 他 一樣 的 事情 ， 而且 我 相信 到 現在 都 還是 有人 遇到 這種 事情 。

2018 年 的 公投 和 反同 勢力 The 2018 referendum and opposition forces

(00:05:47) 這裡 我 就 想 提 三 年 前 、2018 年 的 公投 。 (00:05:47) Here I just want to mention the 2018 referendum three years ago. 公投 是 公民投票 的 簡稱 ， 也 就是 英文 的 referendum。 那台灣 每 兩年 全國 就 會 舉行 一次 公投 來 決定 大大小小 的 議題 。 Then Taiwan will hold a referendum every two years across the country to decide on issues large and small. 2018 年 的 公投 其實 影響 同志 運動 很大 ， 因為 當時 台灣 人 關注 的 議題 就是 婚姻 平權 的 議題 跟 性別 教育 的 議題 ， 所以 這 兩個 議題 也 出現 在 那次 的 公投 裡面 。 The 2018 referendum actually had a great impact on the gay movement, because at that time Taiwanese people were concerned about the issues of marriage equality and gender education, so these two issues also appeared in that referendum. (00:06:26) 那 先 跟 你 說 一下 ， 最後 公投 的 結果 是 大部分 的 人 都 不 同意 婚姻 平權 也 不 同意 同志 教育 。 (00:06:26) Let me tell you first, the result of the referendum was that most people did not agree with marriage equality or gay education. 我 當時 真的 是 超 生氣 的 ， 因為 在 公投 前 反對 的 人 一直 散播 錯誤 資訊 ， 像是 他們 說 「 如果 學校 教 多元 性別 的話 ， 學生 都 會 變成 同志 喔 」， 或是 「 如果 讓 同志 結婚 的話 爸爸媽媽 阿公 阿嬤 都 會 不見 喔 」 之類 的話 。 I was really super angry at the time because people who opposed before the referendum kept spreading misinformation, like they said "if schools teach gender diversity, students will all become gay", or "if gays are allowed to marry, parents will Grandpa and grandma will all be gone" or something like that. 我 覺得 用 錯誤 的 資訊 來 誤導 選民 真的 是 很 過分 。

(00:07:09) 我 自己 是 很 支持 性別 教育 也 覺得 性別 教育 很 重要 ， 而且 我 覺得 性別 教育 還 可以 保護 很 多 條 學生 的 人命 ， 因為 我 自己 跟 剛剛 提到 的 葉永鋕 都 是 性別 刻板印象 的 受害者 ， 我 希望 大家 都 可以 認識 多元 性別 ， 我 希望 大家 都 可以 知道 「 男生 就是 要 陽剛 ， 女生 就是 要 陰柔 」 這種 想法 已經 過時 、 已經 跟不上 時代 了 。 (00:07:09) I personally support gender education and think gender education is very important, and I think gender education can also protect the lives of many students, because myself and Ye Yongzheng just mentioned are gender stereotypes Victims, I hope that everyone can understand multiple genders. I hope that everyone can know that the idea that "boys must be masculine and girls must be feminine" is outdated and out of date. (00:07:43) 而且 更 讓 我 難過 的 是 那些 反對 的 人 很多 都 是 我 自己 的 家人 ， 我 當時 的 感覺 就是 「 哇 ！ (00:07:43) What makes me even more sad is that many of those who oppose are my own family members. My feeling at the time was "Wow! 原來 台灣 大部分 的 人 、 甚至 是 我 的 親人 都 想要 像 我 這種 不 符合 性別 刻板印象 的 人 消失 」 那次 的 公投 ， 我 跟 我 身邊 很多 年輕人 都 對 台灣 很 失望 ， 我 甚至 連 出門 都 不想 出門 ， 因為 那 時候 的 感覺 就是 「 台灣 有 一半 的 人 不 希望 我 存在 」。 It turns out that most people in Taiwan, even my relatives, want people who don’t conform to gender stereotypes like me to disappear.” During the referendum, many young people around me and I were very disappointed in Taiwan. I even went out. I didn't want to go out, because at that time, the feeling was that "half of the people in Taiwan don't want me to exist." 好 啦 ， 我 知道 我 講 得 有點 誇張 ， 但是 我 想 表達 的 是 讓 大家 認識 多元 性別 很 重要 ， 因為 有 很多 像 我 一樣 的 人 覺得 自己 是 不 被 社會 接受 的 ， 我們 很 希望 有 更 多 人 可以 站 出 來說 「 你 跟 別人 沒有 什麼 不 一樣 ， 你 做 自己 就 好 了 ！ Okay, I know I'm exaggerating a little bit, but what I want to say is that it's important for people to understand gender diversity, because there are many people like me who feel that they are not accepted by society, and we hope that more people can Stand up and say "You are no different from others, just be yourself!" 」 為 什麼 2018 年 會 有 這個 公投 ？ "Why is there such a referendum in 2018? (00:08:45) 那 說 到 為 什麼 2018 年 台灣 會 有 這個 公投 呢 ？ (00:08:45) So why is there such a referendum in Taiwan in 2018? 是 因為 其實 早 在 前 一年 、2017 年 台灣 的 最高法院 the Supreme Court 就 有 說 台灣 不讓 同志 結婚 是 不 對 的 ， 所以 最高法院 就 規定 台灣 政府 兩年 內 要 修法 讓 同志 也 可以 結婚 。 This is because in fact, as early as the previous year, in 2017, the Supreme Court of Taiwan said that it was wrong for Taiwan not to allow gays to marry, so the Supreme Court stipulated that the Taiwan government should amend the law within two years to allow gays to marry. 這時候 反對 LGBT 的 人 就 不爽 了 啊 ， 他們 就 不 開心 了 啊 ， 所以 他們 就 說 如果 一定 要 讓 同志 結婚 的話 ， 可以 啊 ， 但是 同志 不能 跟 異性戀 用 一樣 的 法律 ， 要 再 另外 立 一個 法 ， 因為 他們 覺得 婚姻 就是 要 一 男 一 女 ， 一定 要 一個 夫 一個 妻 才 能 叫做 結婚 。 At this time, people who oppose LGBT are unhappy, they are not happy, so they say that if gays must be allowed to marry, yes, but gays cannot use the same law as heterosexuals, and another law must be enacted , because they think that marriage requires a man and a woman, and only a husband and a wife can be called marriage. 公投 結果 、 台灣 政府 的 應變 The results of the referendum, the response of the Taiwan government

(00:10:26) 那 就 像 我 剛剛 說 的 一樣 ， 公投 的 結果 其實 是 反對方 贏 了 ， 最後 同性 婚姻 跟 異性 婚姻 只能 分開 來 ， 所以 2019 年 台灣 立 了 一個 新 的 法律 ， 讓 同性戀 也 可以 結婚 ， 同時 台灣 也 成為 亞洲 第一個 讓 同性 伴侶 可以 結婚 的 國家 ， 雖然 同性戀 不能 跟 異性戀 用 一樣 的 法 來 結婚 ， 這點 是 比較 可惜 。 (00:10:26) As I said just now, the result of the referendum was that the opposition side actually won. (00:11:52) 我 覺得 台灣 政府 這種 保護 LGBT 族群 還有 尊重 多元 性別 的 政策 很 值得 被 稱讚 。 雖然 台灣 在 LGBT 的 議題 上 還是 有 很多 地方 要 繼續 努力 ， 但是 我 對 台灣 現在 有 的 成果 很 驕傲 ， 我 也 希望 台灣 在 這 方面 可以 繼續 前進 、 變得 越來越 好 。
