1919 年 ， 英屬 香港政府 將 每年 嘅 ［11 月 11 日 ］ 訂 為 ［ 和平 紀念日 ］， 即係 《 康邊 停戰 協定 》 簽訂 日 。
In 1919, the British Hong Kong government designated [November 11] as the [Peace Remembrance Day], which was the date on which the "Kangbian Armistice Agreement" was signed.
而 香港 總督 同 當時 殖民地 官員 每年 都 會 喺 中環 ［ 皇后 像 廣場 ］ 嘅 ［ 和平 紀念碑 ］ 出席 大型 嘅 悼念 同 閱兵 儀式 。
Every year, the Governor of Hong Kong and the then colonial officials attended a large-scale memorial service and military parade at the [Peace Memorial Monument] in [Statue Square] Central.
1945 年 ， 第二次世界大戰 結束 ， 香港 重 光 之後 ， 香港政府 將 ［ 和平 紀念日 ］ 訂 喺 每年 11 月 嘅 第二個 星期日 ， 之後 就 同 其他 地區 嘅 紀念日 唔 同 日子 。
In 1945, after the end of the Second World War and the rebirth of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Government designated the Peace Memorial Day on the second Sunday of November every year, which is not the same as the memorial days in other places.
1946 年 ， 當時 政府 將 8 月 30 日 另訂 為 ［ 香港 重光 紀念日 ］， 來 紀念 英國 喺 二次大戰 之後 正式 重新 佔領 管治 香港 ， 重將 呢 日 定為 公眾 假期 添 。
In 1946, the Government designated 30 August as the Hong Kong Re-establishment Day to commemorate the official re-occupation and administration of Hong Kong by Britain after the Second World War, and it was also designated as a general holiday.
當時 紀念 一戰 結束 嘅 儀式 會 喺 和平 紀念日 舉行 ； 紀念 二戰 結束 嘅 儀式 就 喺 香港 重光 紀念日 舉行 。
At that time, ceremonies commemorating the end of the First World War were held on Peace Memorial Day, while ceremonies commemorating the end of the Second World War were held on Hong Kong Re-enactment Day.
1997 年 ， 香港 主權 移交 ， 香港 重光 紀念日 嘅 公 眾 假期 曾經 由 ［ 抗日戰爭 勝利 紀念日 ］ 代替 ， 但 係 個 公眾 假期 後來 又 喺 1999 年 由 ［ 佛誕 ］ 代替 ； 紀念 二戰 結束 嘅 儀式 就 合併 到 和平 紀念日 舉行 。
In 1997, after the handover of sovereignty, the general holiday of Hong Kong's Re-establishment Day was replaced by the Day of Resistance Against Japan and Victory in the Sino-Japanese War, but this general holiday was later replaced by the Buddha's Birthday in 1999, and the ceremony commemorating the end of the Second World War was merged into the Peace Memorial Day.
