EL REGALO DEL HADA AZUL

Gepeto estaba bastante atareado en su carpintería durante los días que precedían a la navidad. Pinocho se preocupaba siempre por su padre cuando lo veía trabajar tanto, pero Pepe Grillo lo tranquilizaba, ya que era natural que en aquellas fechas del año Gepeto tuviera más encargos.

Sólo cuando llegó la noche de navidad y su padre le ofreció un regalo, Pinocho entendió por qué el viejo había estado tan atareado durante los últimos días. -¡Qué maravilla! –exclamó el niño al desenvolver el regalo -. ¿Es para mí?

- Claro que es para ti –respondió Gepeto, feliz al ver la alegría de Pinocho-. Me ha dado mucho trabajo, pero todavía es más grande la alegría de verte feliz.

Gepeto le había hecho un Santa Claus sentado en un trineo tirado por dos renos, todo de madera pintada.

- ¡Nunca había recibido un regalo tan bonito! –repitió el niño, encantado.

Y aquella noche, Pinocho tuvo el sueño más maravilloso de su vida: se vio volando sobre el pueblo, sentado en el trineo al lado de Santa Claus, dejando regalos en todas las chimeneas.
