tiene mucha influencia en el mundo y tener ciudades muy cercanas, pues ayuda, ¿no? a estar

conectado.

Concretamente, en Canadá, casi todas las ciudades pobladas están en la costa este, o sea, en la parte

este, excepto Vancouver, que está totalmente en el otro lado y entre ellas directamente no hay nada,

¿no? Más allá de Edmonton.

No y Vancouver, te lo voy a decir. Y te digo, Miguel, que es que cuando tú vives, porque yo crecí, yo he

crecido allí. Y cuando tú vives en Vancouver, no es que vayas muy a menudo a otras partes de Canadá,

porque todo está muy lejos. O sea, por ejemplo, irse a Toronto, a Montreal... A Toronto creo que son

bueno... Porque cuando dices voy a visitar Canadá, lo que realmente vas a hacer es voy a visitar

Quebec, o voy a visitar Ontario, o voy a visitar Alberta. Porque el problema de los europeos, los

europeos muchas veces no se dan cuenta de ello y vienen a Canadá y luego quieren hacerlo todo y

están un poco decepcionados porque se dan cuenta de que no tienen el tiempo.

Porque son muchas horas entre, por ejemplo, entre las dos ciudades más grandes de Canadá, Toronto y

Montreal. Son seis horas de coche. Y luego, no tenemos trenes de alta velocidad como en España, que

es una pena que yo de verdad... Y quiero verlo ya en Canadá, pero es que no lo tenemos, así que... Tú

puedes coger el tren, puedes coger el tren de Montreal a Toronto, pero no son dos horas como Valencia,

vídeo sobre la cultura del auto, del coche en Toronto y cómo es una ciudad obsesionada con el coche

Bueno, en general, yo creo que soy un europeo particularmente curioso y me gusta, me atrae América

en general como continente, ¿no? Tanto el sur, ¿no? Por cuestiones ya no solo laborales, sino que me

parece brutal en cuanto a naturaleza y cultura, pero también me interesa Norteamérica, porque es donde

está toda la influencia de la cultura que yo conozco, ¿no? De la cultura occidental que yo he conocido. Y

hay ciertas cosas de Estados Unidos con las que no estoy del todo cómodo y no contemplo mudarme

allí, por lo menos no durante mucho tiempo. Tal vez iría un año, pero no... Yo creo que no sería muy feliz

allí. Sin embargo, en Canadá sí que me siento muy identificado con algunas cosas. Por ejemplo, me

gusta la política migratoria de Canadá, para empezar. O sea, que estén abiertos a recibir inmigrantes

para trabajar en estos sectores y que el proceso sea más o menos ligero cuando en otros países es una

pesadilla. A mí eso me parece interesante. Es un país también abierto a la ciencia.

No sé, yo creo que también tener un bosque muy grande, porque está... ¿Cómo se llama este? El

bosque... En el norte.

El boreal, ¿no?

Eso, el bosque boreal, eso es. Que no se ha tocado. Eso está nuevo. Eso es una maravilla. Es un país

que tiene naturaleza, que tiene vida social... Me parece un sitio muy sano. Por supuesto, no quiero

idealizar ningún país, ¿no? Eso es lo último. Pero sí que creo que sería interesante pasar un tiempo allí,

tener la experiencia. Y además siento que la parte este es más parecida a Europa, pero con mucho más

dinero.

La parte este, digamos que... Sobre todo Quebec, que se parece bueno, hay muchos... Hay muchas

cosas en común con Francia porque tenemos esa historia. Pero luego también la parte atlántica también

tiene mucha influencia céltica. Por ejemplo, en las provincias atlánticas, la mayoría de la gente tiene

antepasados escoceses o irlandeses y... Y eso, la influencia todavía está, ¿sabes? Pero luego, cuando

vas a más al oeste, digamos que culturalmente se parece mucho a Estados Unidos. O sea, no hay

mucha diferencia. Son más elecciones políticas, opiniones políticas... Pero luego la cultura anglosajona

de la mayoría de Canadá es muy, muy, muy similar a la de Estados Unidos. Sí, y por eso a mí me parece

un poco menos interesante, porque luego no hay tanta diversidad. En gran parte de Canadá, no hay

tanta diversidad cultural, lingüística, sin hablar de los de las lenguas indígenas, que sí que hay mucha

diversidad, pero no se habla mucho, es triste pero no se habla mucho de ellos.

Ahora están hablando un poco más... Bueno, las personas que tienen un poco más de conciencia sobre

esas cosas, sobre esos temas. Pero... Pero es que en realidad sí, el Canadá de antes, de antes de los

europeos sí que tenía mucha diversidad cultural y lingüística y tal, pero fue casi toda erradicada.

Europa es completamente diferente, porque por un lado, las fronteras son una mierda porque nos

impiden ir de un sitio a otro cómodamente. Pero por otro lado, también son las fronteras las que han

hecho que se protejan un montón de tradiciones. Entonces, históricamente, no es que yo piense que las

fronteras sean buenas, pero ¿cuántos idiomas hablan en Europa y no se van a extinguir? Pues todos.

Porque incluso incluso el euskera, fíjate que son pocos, 1 millón así de hablantes. Pues no me da la

sensación de que esté a punto de extinguirse. Para nada. Pues lo mismo en... pues eso, en los

Balcanes. Son muy poquitos habitantes. Cada uno tiene su lengua, la protegen. Eso es una cosa que en

ese sentido me alegro de que... De que sí que hayan cerrado las fronteras para no perder esas cosas.

Que es algo que no hicimos los europeos en América.
